Hey all, so I’m at a point where I’ve got my night lords to an armour recipe I’m happy with. Obviously for loads to do like eyes, weapons etc: my question is does anyone have any ideas for making these look more complete?

Hey folks! So I’m painting my HH NL army as a homebrew ghostly war and. I’m using acrylic, oils and gouache. I’ve hit a wall. I love the blue/greens I’ve got down, but they seem so flat. Any advice to give them a bit more depth and have them feel finished would be amazing!

I’m torn, do I give these away? Would it even be worth looking for buyers? Sorry for camera quality my phone sucks.

Hey, I’m trying to do a spectral or ectoplasm take on nights. I’ve got I’ve got them to a point where I’m happy with the intensity of the spectral green. But I just don’t know where to go from here should I add black or brown? Remove somewhere and add some more weathering?

Just at a bit of a loss and not sure how to improve, thank you !

I’m trying to headcannon and kitbash a salvaged mech unit, probably use 30k solar aux, but whatever. I’ve painted this guy in the 2 colours I like, hit it with streaking grime, removed an amount I thought looks cool, and added some typhus corrosion here and there. Ignore any bright white spots, just spots I accidentally hit and are waiting to be grimed.

I really like it so far, but it feels really flat? Do I need a pop of colour, or maybe a little gore? Not sure where to go with this, any advice is welcome!

Edit to add: maybe some osl around the plasma coils?

What should I do about eye lenses? Same orangey red, or a different colour? Wanting to keep a very limited palette, but I’d like some more visual interest.

I only just learned you can use a graphite block (6b I think) to work the edges, giving a cool worn weathered look. I’m trying to get all of my army up to this point, so I can be more efficient painting them. Happy so far! C&C welcome!
