I finally finished kitbashing my chaos bikers.
I thought that if I already bought the morbheg knights for that one bat head for the demon price, I might as well try to make the rest of it into the bikers.

I didn't think they were coming in until September but they were delivered today. So pumped they look amazing.

I didn’t have the patience to wait for GW to refresh our bikes, so I tried bashing one myself
I wanted to try some sponge and drybrush painting for a change. The left one had its blues done with a sponge, the right one with drybrush.
I think both got a pretty great weathered look.

I started my army with the Night Lords Combat Patrol in 1st of June and here’s how the army has grown so far :) I have painted since June 38 miniatures! The CP gave me 17 minis, Jumpac Lord, Rhino, 5 Chosen and 10 Nemesis Claw. Then i got 20 MKVI HH marines and kitbashed them with 40k bits and then i repainted one of my retro SM Command Squad minis for a painting competition which i sadly could not attend do to scheduling conficts. Up next i have pile of cultists, Dark Commune & Accursed Cultists, Teminators and i’m also waiting for a box of Raptors to show up, but for now, i need a bit of break for painting do to small burnout & back pains 😅 What do you guys think?

So, since Nostromo is long gone, all new nightlords come from random planets, would it be possible for old school NL (specially terran born ones) to build a warband with the original mindset of the legion before the Legion got filled with psychos and scum from the nostraman lowest castes?
Finally my Combat Patrol is finished! I love painting Rhinos. The can be as plain or detailed as you like and they still look cool :) As a fan of the band Lordi, it was obvious subject for a NL tank. Every party bus needs their sponsors after all. The Lordi freehand too 3-5h to do and was to most time consuming part of this project. The blue hull was pretty fast and easy to do.
The base will be covert in mud ground with some snow on top of it. But should i add more causilties or let it be like that?
I saw a tutorial that suggested Ironrach Skin (Base), Volupus Pink (Contrast), Guilliman Flesh (Contrast) and Tahmain Medium (Technical). I would prefer to not buy all of these, so I want to know if I can use the few flesh-like paints I have.
The paints I already possess are Wraithbone (Base), Ushabti Bone (Layer) and Underhive Ash (Dry). These are paints I got for Terminid models but have yet to use. Would these three paints be able to somewhat resemble the colors above? Additionally, would a grey spray coat be good as a base? I don't want to use Chaos Black because I want a lighter look to my models.
I’ve bought and built two armies. The night lords and imperial fists. I got into the hobby a couple years ago and I fully indulged almost immediately and now I have two armies built. I don’t plan on getting into the tabletop I’m just doing it for the aesthetic, but which is easier to paint for a painting beginner? The night lords or imperial fists?
