I just finished Azrael last night. I believe I am now required to share with my brothers.

I really like the sculped banner from the old dark angel ancient model. So I bought one from ebay to steal it for my primaris ancient kitbash. I personally like how it turned out and felt like sharing it here.

Flag on top annoyed me as I kept breaking off. Think this works better.

Started Nov. 2023 and finished yesterday. (For now)

Finished a jump captain for my army, super happy with how the face turned out. Gave myself one out to do the face and I think it’s one of the better ones I’ve ever done.

Hey yall, this is what I got so far, hoping you guys could clear some stuff up & some pointers. azrael is next but after that I’m not sure what units are good/not worth it. I’m also confused on the difference between DW knights & DW terminators? I’ve seen people with both types in their armies I’d like to know if they fulfill different roles. Same goes for Blade Guard & Stern Guard, their key differences & would I give those units terminator armor since they are deathwing? What leaders should I focus on grabbing if I add more terminators, ICC & a hellblaster squad? Are there any restrictions to what kind of loadout dark angels can use?

I tried to evoke the style of armor the dark angels wore during the herassy mixed with post herassy shouldar pads. I stil need to paint the golden trim and other details but I am happy with the results thus faar

Fave model to paint? Lion.
Least favourite? DWK. Amazing models, but each one is like painting a small vehicle.

My first attempt at kitbashing. Got back into the hobby around a year ago after being out of it since childhood (20ish years).

Kept it simple: Interrogator Chaplain + Inner Circle Companion to make a Dark Angels Judiciar.

Would you accept a Nephilim Jet Fighter (model) as a proxy for a Stormhawk Interceptor (game rules)?

I love the Nephilim model, its centre mounted armaments and wing mounted ordnance, the overall shape fits all the aesthetic boxes for me. It brings that CAS vibe I’ve been chasing.

However, the alternative: the Stormhawk, just doesn’t tick the boxes. Its gatlings are wing mounted, its ordnance set beside the cockpit, and its stocky shape don’t really do it.

These are just pet peeves, I’ve seen some excellent raptor livery’s that compliment the flier.

I’m wondering if anyone else has any thoughts on this idea?
