They have good melee with combat knifes and the power sword, their shooting is decent enough especially with the SH 1 Az gives, 4 wounds each and the 4++ from Az and to top all that off because of they have sticky.
I’m still learning because I don’t get many games in and it’s always against my friend who is super good at the game atleast to me, he plays Tau, Grey knights, deathwatch
He smashed me playing tau I hate playing against them because for me I always make mistakes when deploying and against tau in montka he capitalises against me every time I played wrath of the rock
Grey knights tend to go a little better but he still wins me similar problem there really I played wrath of the rock
But when I played him while he was using deathwatch I genuinely out scored him which in the end didn’t matter but I feel I’m coming to grips with deployment and genuinely it was the closest game we’ve ever had:
I switched to gladius first time using it against him I get the hype even if I don’t use it again
Honestly 5 hellblasters with lieutenant with fire discipline did bits for me absolutely throwing damage out against anything really I got really lucky with rolls but god I’m happy with how I’ve used them
The lion in my list absolutely murdered killing a 10 man deathwatch kill team and a ballistus wounding a bunch of others before just narrowly meeting his end
Azrael murdered a 10 man deathwatch terminator group with chaplain
That being said I deployed my redemptor in the wrong play and vindicator I didn’t really have a game plan with them other than just keeping them as threats but they met there end as my last 2 units having not killed anything between them and just dealing some tickle damage
With the redeptor and vindicator problem My DWK also failed a charge which cost me both and I think was the first domino in costing me the game unfortunately
Still tho I do feel I played well and I’m happy with how I scored my primary in the first game of 11th very much a good lesson learnt
I’ve got chaos black, wraithbone and dark angel green
I want to paint them in their colours on the boxes, but im struggling to visualise which primer will be better for doing that ?
Also RWBK or Outriders which are better for a 3 man with no leader
I am wondering if there’s a way to future proof them or if I just use like a lancer as a proxy for primaris sizing, I feel they fit dark angels so well I also think the same for the whirlwind but that’s kinda sucky atm
Anyone have any thoughts on the matter ?
my list I’ve got 150 points left I don’t know whether to take a brutallis or 2 x3 RWBK
My question is how would you use the unit what are they good and bad at their ability seems nice but not super impactful more like nice low wound tank time to make sure it dies
Also unsure about the eliminators as I’ve never used them either just thought move shoot move sounds fun and the infiltrate sounds useful but would a termie chaplain with the DWK be better and give them power swords ?
I am looking forward to using the 10 DWT with SH1 and ability to have a one use uppy downy
But unsure which 2 point detachment to use aswell do I stick to ICTF ?

Why is it when I’m building a Army list with anything but space marines I find it easy but when it comes to space marines I really struggle with what I find cool
I play dark angels and I find a lot cool but struggle to feel satisfied with lists like I have my Tyranids
Like with my Tyranids I’ve picked units that are cool regardless of if they are good but when it comes to my dark angels I just feel like I try to do that but ultimately I can’t justify some it, I always feel like if I just go the cool way I never have enough points if that makes sense
