Day 4, PTR comming tomorrow
Guys we finally did it, PTR is comming tomorrow and i am so excited, just goes to show if you keep showing interrest good things will come, and it couldnt have been done without the support from the community.
Now for all of us PC players arriving on the PTR tomorrow, be sure to submit all the bugs you can to help out the Saber team, after all - thats what a PTR is for, to ensure the best possible patch on launch day.
I have a question.
Learning the lore of warhammer 40k is really interesting. Especially all the chapters. So I have a question, why did Saber decide to create the games on the ultramarines? Why not another chapter? And is Titus a character in the other media? Or was he created specifically for the games?
[New Player] What is your favorite marine to play?
I’ve been playing for a few weeks, going through and getting everyone to the point of their first prestige and I’m just curious to know what everyone’s main is! I’m working on the techmarine right now and next I’ll go to the vanguard and finally the sniper and so far my favorite to play is either the heavy or the bulwark. I think my least favorite may be the sniper. Obviously I’ve not played him long enough but for me and the way I play and the way the game is as far as getting surrounded by a ton of little guys, he seems the most difficult.
Idea for Bulwark
I remember in multiple pieces of media showing space marines using breacher shields and thought what if these were an option for SM2 or SM3. What do ya’ll think about these shield options?
In the grim darkness of the far future... there are no safety rails.
Lore-accurate Imperial engineering
Heraldry wihslist
This is just a list for some heraldry options that i'd like to see in the game
Ground pound build is just better than wing of fury?
When Saber did update the jet pack dodge build with the other perks to regain charge I was overjoyed and switched right away. Learned to dodge properly and weaving through big waves to kill enemies.
But then I realised I lose a lot in damage from ground pound and I can still regain charge for perfect dodges with the jetpack so I switched back to ground pound.
So far I have noticed a MAJOR increase of my survivability and damage potential. I use exclusively the heroic hammer (because bonk).
So far with the wing of fury build:
- If I mess up a dodge I lose the charge and do some damage
- If I succeed in dodging sometimes I don't get back my charge
- If I jetpack dodge the attack and the enemy goes to execute mode I don't get my charge back
- Refund charge after a jetpack dash attack is wildly inconsistent. I have to make sure there is an enemy behind I can hit. Rarely, I can hit the enemy I just went through
- Ground pound is significantly weaker
Whereas with the ground pound build I can nuke things while still enjoying the dodge mechanics.
- Missing a dodge still happens and I don't do the damage, I just use the jetpack dodge on red attacks and I can't cancel in time. Fair.
- Still happens, but I now tend to just do the normal dodge.
- Can't have the enemy in execute if I don't do damage with the dodge, much better.
- Can't use the refund charge perk.
- +100% damage and 10% ability charge per fill, proper xenos nuke which you can spam when there are a lot of enemies.
Am I missing something with the wing of fury build?
This is how you farm the Bulwark 'block 800 melee attacks' ordeal btw
Halfway I was shooting off the Termagants(ranged ones) so they don't interrupt the melee ones attacking since there's a limit on how many ai can attack you at once.
Need to do 2 more Absolute... since more than 10 operations ago
Around 10 completed missions ago, I needed to do 2 more to get the Xenos Hunter Gauntlet, but for an unknown reason it doesn't add up after each one. Is this something known? if it is, how to resolve it? I kinda wanted to larp as the Lieutenant with Combi-Weapon
Is this a lore accurate raven gaurd amour set?
Got Space Marine 2 and been loving it. After 15 hours, I have been maining sniper and wanted to do a lore accurate armor set. Don’t know much about 40k lore yet, just wanna see if I’m doing it right after a little research.
Thanks
Communication between space marines
I'm playing Darktide and I realize what Space Marine 2 is missing: dialogue and communication between the space marines. They're like silent statues. Even when they're low on HP or their armor is broken, they're either silent or say a generic phrase to show their HP. I really miss the communication between them.
I understand they're genetically modified soldiers and there's little human left in them, but even in the books, they're incredibly talkative with each other and some with humans.
What are you hot takes about this game or community?
Mine is I think this community has slowly become less and less casual friendly and that a very loud minority don't understand this game is a casual horde shooter with the 40k name attached not a hardcore experience meant for showing the best of the best.
Also as much as I love this game and this community and the devs,I feel like community is sometimes abysmal and that it leads to situations like what happens with the voice pack and the absolute grind pre them nerfing iy.
