Funcom are adding more DoT and "build-up" weapons, yet no scaling of DoTs (or skills), makes them meaningless.
The current endgame armoury is packed with weapons that apply poison, fire DoTs, and “build-up” damage.
The problem is that Funcom still hasn’t scaled DoTs and ability damage to keep pace with endgame health pools. Beyond a certain point, these effects become largely irrelevant. And make skills meaningless.
So why keep introducing new weapons built around mechanics that barely matter in actual combat? Surely the developers can see that, outside of their base weapon damage, these special effects (and our direct damage skills) contribute almost nothing in the current PvE sandbox, and I cannot believe they are intended for use in PvP.
