Anyone else like making custom outfits for your characters and updating them as you play?

This is Rook. Her armor was nifbashed in outfit studio from the Vault security armor, Armored Vault suit, Combat armor, and riot gear. When I get certain armors in game, I headcanon that she strips what she likes from them and uses them for her armor. For example, I looted combat armor from a talon merc and looted the riot gear from an enclave member to get those parts for my armor.

I put the outfit mesh over the pre order metal armor, and used xEdit to rename it and overhaul the stats. Currently, it's equal to Mk2 combat armor.

I despise how many mods use AI for thumbnails

I don't care how high quality the mod itself is, if you can't even take the time to make a shitty 5 minute thumbnail, and instead rely on slop, I'm just never gonna download your mod. All it takes is a screenshot, and some text, that's it. It's not rocket surgery.

What mod adds this interaction with the bryson experiment and the space hampter?

I don't remember ever seeing this before when I played ME3, so it must be a mod?

Covers of songs that are almost their own songs.

To clarify what I mean, covers of songs that are either so different lyrically or musically (or both) they essentially become their own song.

I don't really consider genre changes or slight lyric changes to really count (as much as I adore Five Finger Death Punch's cover of The House of the Rising Sun, I wouldn't count that for this.)

  1. Chonny's Inferno by Chonny Jash. A cover of Charlie's Inferno by That Handsome Devil. The original song is about a performative Christian doing things he thinks are good so that he may end up in heaven, and is shocked when he's not let in, immediately resorting to begging.
Meanwhile, Chonny's inferno flips the song on it's head. Chonny is someone who know's he's done bad in life, so when he dies and isn't let into heaven he's not very surprised. What does surprise him, is that hell isn't just for bad people, as hell takes in all the people heaven rejects.

  2. Heaven Says: Mandela Mix by Z Sharp Studios. Both songs have a creepy vibe, but the mandela mix turns a short midi into a Mandela Catalogue fan song, by adding whole new lines and verses, as well as completely changing some lines and redoing the instrumental.

  3. I Will Give You My All 2017 by Simon Viklund. The original (also by Viklund) was a intentionally cheesy song meant to play in missions as white noise from radios, and an option for main menu music. When Payday 2 brought back a Payday: The Heist mission "Diamond Heist" back, the track that was for the original was already remastered for a earlier heist, so Viklund turned a nothing song into a banger to commit crime to.

  4. The Sound of Silence. By disturbed. The original by Simon and Garfunkel was a beloved song for decades, but when Disturbed, a band known for mostly metal tracks at the time, made a cover, even the original composers agreed that Disturbed's version was the now definitive version of the song.

  5. A lot of the Atomic Heart Soundtrack, Various artists. Atomic Heart features a lot of russian music reimagined by a lot of artists, but my favorite is Geoffryplaysguitar. He's turned tracks like Trava U Doma, V Sinem More, V Beloy Pene, Arlekino, and Zvyozdnoe Leto are highlights, with some having entirely new sections added in the vein of the original to be combat music.

Boy, that's a lot of text. I hope my stream of consciousness is entertaining, at the very least!

I'm tired of hating this game without giving it a fair shot

The last time I actually played the game was the open beta like, 3 or so years ago at this point. The only other time I played the game was right after launch when it was on pc game pass, and no matter what I tried, I couldn't join a game with my friend on playstation, so I gave up, uninstalled the game, and just kept going "Hah, PD3 is le bad" for years.

Then I played crime boss, and I really enjoyed that, and realized that crime boss' gameplay is basically the same as PD3, just a lot less build variety and (intentionally) cheesy writing. So it got me wanting to actually give PD3 a fair shot, and since the steam summer sale just dropped, I bought the year one edition.

Despite hating the game for so long, I do hope I end up enjoying my time with it, and if I don't, there's always PD2

I made an HECU inspired armor mod for Helldivers 2

Using Black Mesa for reference, I edited the textures of two pieces of armor that I thought best resembled the HECU, and created the Helldiver Extermination Combat Unit.

What's the lore behind the UESC enemies? Are they shells piloted by UESC affiliated runners? Drones remote controlled by humans? Or just AI robots?

Do I have a major skill issue, or are (most) of the mutants in stalker 2 really annoying and unfun to fight?

I'm ready and willing to admit that I may just have a skill issue, but with exception of the zombies, fleshes, boars, and rodents (and I guess the elk, but I've only fought one), it feels like almost every one of the mutants are just unfun bullet sponges in my experience.

Blind dogs, psy-dogs, bayuns, snorks, and bloodsuckers are super fast, hard to hit and have a lot of health. Burers, psy-dogs, and controllers have annoying attacks that draw their fights out along with having a lot of health.

I think Chimeras and Pseudogiants having a lot of health is fine, as they seem to be intended to be boss like enemies, but even with the Siaga that I got from nimble, a lot of these mutants are rough to deal with, ending up chewing through my health items and ammo.

Again, if I have a skill issue, fair enough, but it just feels like these enemies were made to be intentionally frustrating.

Am I doing something wrong? Why can't I pick this guys body up for his friend? Am I forced to go against his wishes and loot him or something?
