Hi folks,

for Halloween I created a Combine Police Cosplay in style like the Metro-Cops, as seen in the games Half-Life 2, Half-Life Alyx and maybe in Half-Life 3 🙂

Now I upgrated the old cosplay in 2026 with a 3d-printed helmet and a real stunt-stick.

It would be great to see a Half-Life movie, what do you think?

Quite randomly, while searching for references again, I stumbled upon building #2. Now I’ve truly found them all.

Updated list of addresses (from the left; all of them in Sofia):

I don't know if anyone will find this useful, but it was still worth sharing these findings.

This chapter was very scary but pretty fun, but that boat chapter is still my fav until now, i think this next chapter want me to drive a bike, maybe it will top that boat chapter, will see, but this game until now is very good, i am playing in hard mode for my 1st playthrough and it is challenging but not impossible i like it.

It's set in Berlin, btw.

not sure if anyone has made a post on this before but i think stingless bee and vulture bee hives kind of resemble xen flora (specifically from half life alyx). i compiled some images for comparison

when i started half-life 2 for the very first time, for the first few seconds when his eye was zoomed in, i thought the eye looked terrible and the graphics were going to be shit until his face got zoomed out which genuinely frightened me on how good the face model and graphics looked like which still looks good to this day.

I found this channel recently who talks about Half-Life/Portal lore and also makes some theories. I did like the video and the content, but I thought I should check if people think this channel gets facts right or not. I would appreciate any other suggestions for channels that like that. I’ve seen another channel called Skyrionn that does the same, but I’ve heard it is mostly reading the fan Wikipedia for Half-Life so it might be lazy content (but that’s based on what I’ve heard, so I might be wrong)

EDIT: I’ve look at some comments on one of his videos and some people think he might write the scripts with AI. Again, nothing confirmed. Just speculation.

With one week to go early access players have started to share their thoughts on one of the first complete Epistle 3 mods to make to a full release.

The new custom campaign goes live on the Half Life 2 workshop on the 15th October.

perhaps the nihilanth utilizes specific aliens that create complex hives as a means to colonize earth before his arrival? Hive hands could hatch into tentacles or simply produce more hive hand, tentacles can seemingly grow wherever there is soft ground or liquid, snark nests imply snarks reproduce quickly, maybe even headcrab zombies wouldve matured into gonarchs given enough time

This is the Half-Life 2 remaster I've wanted to play for years.

I've spent the past few weeks building and refining a Workshop collection around Cinematic Mod, Half-Life: Alyx assets, and HL2 RTX asset ports.
The screenshots show the actual in-game result.
After looking at the other available setups, I honestly haven't found one that looks better while working this well with HL2 Anniversary.

A huge part of the work has been fixing bugs and making these mods work together: bringing daylight back to Highway 17, restoring the Combine sniper laser and the buggy's Tau cannon, fixing missing citizen textures and vegetation, and addressing compatibility and stability issues.
I've also adjusted damage and a few gameplay values to bring the experience a little closer to the original Half-Life 2 while keeping some of Cinematic Mod's changes.

It's nearly finished now, and I'm proud of how far it has come.
The original mod and asset creators deserve full credit for their work; my contribution is assembling, fixing, and polishing the experience into something you can play through the Workshop.
