who else got jumpscared by gman's face polygon increase in half-life 2 when they started half-life 2 for the very first time?

when i started half-life 2 for the very first time, for the first few seconds when his eye was zoomed in, i thought the eye looked terrible and the graphics were going to be shit until his face got zoomed out which genuinely frightened me on how good the face model and graphics looked like which still looks good to this day.

oneshot running on a windows 2000 machine with only 36 MB of RAM

so i created a windows 2000 vm in vmware workstation on one of my spare craptops and then after installing blackwingcat's extended kernel, oneshot 2014 version works just fine.

then i decided to lower the RAM as low as i could go for shits and giggles and 36 MB was the lowest i was able to go to make the game even launch.

surprisingly the game is still very smooth and playable, even on just 36 MB of RAM
