I think this is the best thing iv ever kitbashed. Still got some work to do but I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out
Been going back and forth to this army since picking up the hobby again Christmas 2022. Really satisfying to see the development in painting over the years, especially looking at the same models (e.g. Wardens 2023 vs. Wardens 2026). Anyway, pleased as punch and I'll take a break from trim for a little now.
Hi all! Pretty much self explanatory from the title. We recently found our old box of Island of Blood and we are unsure if the models would be usable nowadays. Would it be a matter to double check bases and be alright? Or are these models outright outdated by now? Not sure how or where to check the compatibility of the models, so any help would be appreciated! Thanks a lot all!
Haven’t seen this posted here but what do we think about this giant hand holding a soldier? Possible mancrusher?
I am now to this army so I am not aware what works well with them I would greatly appreciate any help
Is something like this (https://a.co/d/05UoFsPe) good at holding the pieces of models like these (https://deadlyprintstudio.com/stormdragon-guard-dragonbreath-base-physical/?srsltid=AfmBOooG9uADJUqZ\_0Jm9bmcwttAyQzu2E48zt-dIYehEYVc3HDuWm48) while they dry?
Because I am tired of using bag clips. And would like to know what more advanced gear I should get for a long term project where I plan to make six of these (https://deadlyprintstudio.com/stormdragon-guard-dragonbreath-base-physical/?srsltid=AfmBOooG9uADJUqZ\_0Jm9bmcwttAyQzu2E48zt-dIYehEYVc3HDuWm48)?
Each one is a combination of a cavalry mount from the vanguard cavalry set, with a rider from the Vigilors (archers) set. The riders had to be disarticulated and re-sculpted to get them to fit onto the mounts, and a lot of robes had to be carefully reshaped and hands needed to be pinned. I feel like I've done a good job of it overall though.
Each mount paint scheme is loosely based off of a bird that visits my garden: magpies, dunnocks, and european robins 🙂
They also continue my experimentation with mixed finishes, as they're mostly matte, but have a few satin and gloss areas to make the eyes shine and the claws look sharp!
The bases are scratch made in the style of all my Stormcast bases, with some purple flowers to provide a nice complementary colour that doesn't draw the eye too much from the figure itself.
As soon as I saw the new, beautiful ogor sculpts, I knew they’d look so out of place with my 20 year old chunky dad bods. So, I set out to convert an old ogor-themed terrain piece (another mawpot) into the new unique war machine wizard. I even managed to recycle my old lonesome Gorger model and a host of gnoblars to represent his crew’s attacks.
Many of the ingredients stocking Gore-Dom’s kitchen, named The Krok Pot, are callouts to the armies of my dear warhammer friends, especially the lord of change and Troggoth chunks. I added lots of little comedic flavor à la old ogors: banana for scale, a gnoblar dumping in a net full of bullion chunks, a stormcast warrior whose death lightning evacuation is about to give the stew a wonderful zing! I’ve collected many bits over the years and had my pick of the litter with stocking the kitchen.
I hope you enjoy viewing it half as much as I enjoyed making it!
Hi there! I want to get into Spearhead and Age of Sigmar, choosing Sylvaneth as my first army. I got the new Spearhead and am already contemplating getting a second copy in order to run reinforced units. When I started building bug riders, some questions came up.
For all I know, a unit of 6 Spiterider Lancers or Revenant Seekers can only have 1 champion, but up to 2 standard bearers and musicians respectively. A 2nd standard bearer/musician doesn't seem to make much of a difference, though. Is having 2 of each a meaningful advantage, like being able to choose which one gets killed first (after the regular Lancer/Seeker is already down)? Is having 3 regular Lancers/Seekers better, so I have a choice for the first models to go down?
Should I build 1 champ, 2 standard bearers and musicians, and only 1 regular Lancer/Seeker? Or 1 champ, standard bearer and musician, and 3 regular ones? Does it make any meaningful differences at all in AoS? Am I right to assume that it doesn't matter at all for Spearhead?
The bugriders are just the first example that came to mind, though. Would the answers to any of those questions be different for bigger units?
Thanks a lot in advance!
I could obviously be reading the seasonal rules wrong with the eruption of fury. How I read it, it sounds like it doesn't work on companion weapons. Is that not the case? Usually rules like that will say it includes companion weapons.

In celebration of my first year anniversary into the hobby I wanted to share.
So, I am confused with rules (nothing new).
Lets imagine, I have a Hero unit. That Hero have ability, which buffs one of my Soldier unit for the rest of the battle
1)Question: Is Hero dies, does that buff removes from Soldier units?
Now, lets imagine, that this Hero also a Wizard. With the spell, Hero buffs one of my Soldier until the start of my next turn
2)Question: Is Hero dies, does that Spell buff still works on my Soldier?
