Regarding Volta Rhythm
It's amusing to me how many different ways I've heard really great drummers count Cygnus's, well forgive me if I call it anything, bridge? 4m 17s into Cygnus. Truly the fuckin dopest beat ever to me, but that's not the point.
I know Omar has said he's a caveman but cmon, dude has been writing jazz fusion for over a quarter century.
I guess what I'm asking is how to count fragmented meters + swing/feel + compound signatures.
Absolute GOAT band, any era. Every era. Endless inspiration, I still think about it. I guess maybe it's not meant to be counted.

Black on black travelers seal shirt bleach dye! Just showing off to people who might care
My husband bought me an eBay find that was someone's size small black on black travelers seal shirt they'd used as a painting shirt, to use as a patch on my latest battle hoodie. The listing photo (photo 2) was clearly taken with a flash because in person, the design was almost impossible to see. Cool for a shirt, less cool for a patch. It was only $10 so I wasn't worried about fucking it up so I experimented with a spray bottle with diluted bleach and BAM! reveal design. I'm loving how it came out.
So if anyone needs to know, bleach dye generally won't mess with your standard screen print but will bleach the shirt!

-Just for clarity, the numbered grading scale is out of 5.
-I didn't include Tremulant since that is an EP, but I would put it in A tier to the right of Deloused.

What is the major theme of lucro sucio?
Does the title "los ojos del vacio" and some of the lyrics on the album like morgana " i cant let you go into darkness" refer to some generalization of "evil" winning over you, or Not nessescarily a thing or person, but an abstract summary of it. There are definitely more themes in the album, but thats always been my take away. What is your guys interpretation of the title of lucro sucio and some of its themes?

We’re doing a project in art class which we draw in the style of typography, which this was also my first time drawing in this way, and it was on who is are biggest inspiration. I chose Omar as mine, and wrote most of Cassandra Gemini in the painting as well. I hope ya’ll like it.

For those that know the “music industry” better than I do, would it be possible for The Mars Volta’s music to be taken off of Spotify? My understanding is that Universal has streaming rights. Unsure of the Warner Brothers and Clouds Hill situations. Tremulant might be the easiest to pull. Anyway, Spotify is evil and we gotta stop using, folks.
