Map information rocket bug?

Posting so I can check im not misunderstanding this, but essentially I cannot build the map information rocket on the launch platform. I have a tier 2 GPS rocket deployed already. I’m playing on the new Xbox release so it could be a bug or it could be me being a noob. I already tried rebuilding the launch platform aswell to no avail. If this is a known bug I apologise.

P.S, this game kicks ass. Loving it.

Flares

Does anyone else also use them to create a trail you can follow to get out of Ship Ruins?

I get bonus use marking the treasure chests that I have already searched (different colour of flare to avoid confusion).

"Hahaha, these new players are so silly! How can you even build a base on the wrong pla... oh..." (First Humble run)

Was not sure if this would be a spoiler so I tagged it anyway.

Didn't flood my base in Prime. However, in Humble... I had a different surprise.

Biomass question

Quick question. Regarding biomass construction. If I place down a flower spreader can I remove the grass spreader? I threw a bunch down next to grass spreaders but im not sure if flower spreader replaces the grass spreader functioning while also add flowers. I dont like how looks with placing them near each other and would rather just delete the grass spreader. If the flower spreader also helps grow grass along with flowers I'd rather just use those atm, plus it gives higher biomass

2 BUGS/Glitches in one room. One resulting in game crash every time. (Xbox Series X)

Sharing clip of said room in comments as I cannot do it the opposite way around and phone doesn't let me upload both pic and clip in a post for some reason.

So in that room if I try to deconstruct that corner sofa my game crashes. Tried it 4 times, crashed every time.

Also now the really weird thing .. I have a Beacon just outside this bunker. I had it set up with Black color.

In that same room, just above the purple quartz there is a screen panel. I tried to change the screen to blue color and nothing happened .. When I went outside I realised my Beacon changed to the same blue color that I tried to set up that screen panel with.

Note: The place is in the huge crater just south of the starting zone, it has huge blazing rocks in the middle with Iridium chunks and rods.

Mapping

I’ve launched a GPS one satellite, a GPS two satellite and a mapping satellite. I’ve also put in a mapping screen, but nothing is showing. It says I need to send a mapping rocket into space.

If anyone else having this issue, if so, how do you get this corrected?

Any tips for first expansion to new Planet (Prime to Humble)

Hi,

i have recently finished Prime with a whooping Score of 6.62 TTi and want to expand to Humble. Everything is set up, i am only unsure what to bring.

My list so far:

-Extraction platform with Rocket to do so

-6x Miner T3 Resources (excluding Titanium)

-Pulsar Quartz for Fusion Generators (Super alloy can be crafted)

-Fertilizer for Food Growers T2 + Crops (Beans?)

-Gas Extractor for more exploration Time (Air)

-Drone Port and a few ones in spares.

-2xMaschine Optimizer T2 +Fuses to boost Production and Power 3 times

What would you bring or left out?

Is this normal?

I got 2 meteor showers of super alloy in the span in less than 10 minutes. I got 2 locker containers full of super alloy. I could have got more but my inventory was full and i had to depo.

Auto crafter, bots and auto trash tips.

Now with 100% more correct subreddit...

Ok... so some of my stuff is starting to get... industrial?... Which is fine, for the most part, but when it comes to some things with multiple end uses... as well as some minor... "things" around logic internals... I'm hitting some issues with my logistics.

For some of these questions I suspect the answer is "there is no answer" or "just saturate", but I'll ask nonetheless if anyone has advice

Also, spoiler tag in case this covers things the new console players haven't hit yet.

Q1. Even distribution for equal priority?

So in Humble, i have 10 x T3 ore crushers to crush uranitite delivered from a bunch of miners delivered by bots. What i hoped was the bots would evenly distribute across the 10 miners, so i could at a glance check one and, if it's full, build more recyclers. Instead what i find is ~6 are full of uranitite, 4 are completely empty. Uranitite isn't backing up at the mines, so i have more crushing power than production.... but it seems to just be delivering to the closest machine rather than ones which aren't acive/ have less supply. Priority won't help, it'll just change the order rather than smooth the distribution.

Is this something that could be fixed with positioning multiple bot stations or some other thing i don't know?

Q2. Stopping overproduction into the bin?

In a similar vein... all that crushed uranitite produces super alloy... and anything a recycler / crusher demands automatically goes onto a lowest priority demand in a shredder, so that a backlog of, say, super alloy, doesn't choke the other products like iridium or uranium (and likewise, those are on lowest priority). But i also have a stash of all the minerals needed to produce super alloys, and an auto crafter doing that. The crafter is set to supply as a backup/ reinforcement of the uranitite supply.

Fine, but this means if demand is satisfied, the super alloy made by the auto crafter just goes in the bin and starves the ingredients stash (never enough titanium.)

Is there a way to have an auto crafter produce something that goes into a supply stash without overproducing straight to the bin because that product is auto- binned elsewhere? This is an issue with things like fertilizer and recycling larvae as well.

Only solution i can think of is to not auto supply from the crafter... but then i only have a stash of 8 super alloys which isn't useful when i want to launch a dozen rockets.

Q3: Location- based production and multiple auto shred locations.

On humble again... there's around 6 different types of fish egg to harvest. But they can only be harvested along with phytoplanktons which need to be auto shredded. The problem being, i need to do this in six different locations across the map, making drones go everywhere for long times. I feel like i could solve this with local drone ports and shredders, but when bit shredding the phytoplankton, the drones will just go sunbather else in the other side of the map if there's demand right? Is there a way to prevent that?

---

Thanks in advance for any tips!

Can't sprint with a controller?

Hi all, hoping someone knows a way to fix this because I have no idea what is causing the issue. I have been playing planet crafter on PC through the Xbox app/game pass. When I try to play with an Xbox controller my character doesn't respond to me pressing the sprint button and just keeps moving at a walking pace. The other trigger which makes you jump still works properly as well as everything else and I have had no issues with this controller with other games.

Things I wish I had learned earlier...

First, thing I did learn before it was too late:

  • the starting area floods. It's mentioned in the Guide in the Steam Community area. I still had to deconstruct my early base and hump all those materials uphill before the liquid water => Lakes phase. Then I went around and removed all the huts and wind generators that were below flood level. I probably missed some, so we'll see.

Things I wish I'd learned earlier:

  • There is a sprint mode. I didn't find that out until I got jetpacks and was looking at the keybinds to find out how to use the jetpack. I spent so much time slogging from point to point with a pack full of materials at walking speed!
  • Someone mentioned holding CTRL down to select all of a material for transfer. Would have saved me a lot of mouse clicks.
  • Rockets boost global terraforming multipliers. Also, loose materials from summoned asteroids do not seem to evaporate the way the big rocks do.
  • Push food growers as fast as you can, unless you like starving to death repeatedly. Also, almost all loot boxes have food. Look for them if you are starving.
  • I prefer 5-2-1 for huts, because they sit better on a platform, and can have a chest for dumping nearby loot into.

Things I figured out on my own:

  • Survival huts.
  • Wind generators make great cheap early way markers.
  • If you have plenty of power, area lamps make wreck diving less of an exercise in reminding yourself that this isn't Alien, and no xenomorphs are waiting to jump you in the dark.
  • Wreck diving is as dangerous in this game as it is in Real Life. Bring extra water & O2, because it's easy to get lost trying to find your way back out to the entrance.

PSA: Be careful where you park!

If you're like me and like to park inside the vehicle station, I'd suggest no longer doing that. Yesterday I experienced a bug/glitch where you can get your head stuck in the roof of the station when exiting the rover and there's absolutely nothing you can do to get yourself out if it. I tried deconstructing the station itself but I wasn't able to select it. Luckily enough, the game hadn't auto saved whilst I struggled to escape so i was able to load up the game before that happened. Otherwise I would have had to start all over but considering the progress I probably would've put the game down for a bit first.

We listen and we don't judge .. (Oh yes, we do!)

Clean stripped the whole lake area and the Iridium cave of resources by hand harvesting ..

My frogs won't be swimming in a lake full of rubbish!!!

.. God .. I have issues lol

But won't be having to farm basic resources for a while, that's for sure 😆

Also random beauty just because.
