Ciri missions really boring on replay

Am I the only one who really find it to be quite a slog when the Ciri sections happpens? Now, I really enjoy the character of Ciri, but after multiple replays, her sections are the ones i’m least excited for. I cannot count how many times i’ve gotten to that first Ciri part, with the wolves and wolf king, and lowkey lost motivation. Luckily the parts aren’t that long, but man I would rather play as Geralt and feel like I’m actually progressing. Again, no hate to the character of Ciri, i really love the character despite her boring sections

Who knows where this (unique) spot is on the map?

Well I guess the general map area is quite easy to find but after many many hours I came across this beautiful place.

Should have recorded/screenshotted when I approached it, as those birds are there en masse - but now you can experience it yourself in case you haven’t done so before.

Sadly didn’t find any explanation for why the birds live here, just two chests and a bear on a wooden construction (left side first picture).

Birds in second picture are flying in those two circles all the time, but there are three more swarms flying around.

Not the greatest find, but wanted to share nonetheless.

With DLC 3 coming - will we see updates for the base game?

After so many years, I am waiting for the DLC updates and hoping for enhancements to the base game, even after the raytracing update. Then I will finally do my 2nd run.

Is there anything announced whether the base game will get updates too?

HoS Iris’ greatest fear

I don’t have much to offer except why the FUCK was that so FUCKING HARD ??

I made the mistake of hitting like three of them and oh my fucking goddddd I couldn’t even use my signs they were kicking my ass so badly

So far, that was def the hardest boss as of yet. Iris’ wraith is a close second it took me so long to figure out that I had to destroy the paintings or else she’d regenerate and respawn infinitely

Kinda seems like this dlc’s bosses are more complex and less likely to be overpowered than the base game bosses. Bc gah damn I’m lvl 40 and getting my teeth kicked in.

Help with some mods please!

So I went through a new game + run and finished it with mods for the first time, I asked here and people recommended me the ultimate mod list from nexus mods and some other extra and it worked fine but some changes felt underwhelming like the reputation system mod which never changed from neutral even when going +1 after each quest it never changed anything, I only saw the notification everytime.

Then I installed some extra mods with vortex, like Cavill face, some animations when Ciri gets to CB, roach not hurting wild animals, friendly animals, better wet textures and sunlight… my problem was when I did everything in the Vortex app and launched the game it didn’t recognize my dlcs as installed, it was like I had the main game only… I went to steam verify the integrity of the files and started uninstalling the new mods 1 by 1 until it recognizes the installed dlcs, and it worked BUT ITS LIKE I DONT HAVE ANY MOD INSTALLED BUT THE NEWEST ONES, the menu became the base one and I don’t know how to fix it.

Did I fuck up when veryfing the files? Or is actually a mod that fucked up everything for me?

Please help me

Question about researching monster - Please don't spoiler

tl;d'r - I need to kill a monster. How do I add voices to the Bestiary? I need info before I kill the monster, not after.

I'm trying to play the Witcher 3 for good since I bought it back in 2021, don't ask me why I couldn't go past the Griffin.

Now I'm in Velen, lvl 4, not the best Witcher around for sure, but I like this game a lot and I want to take it slow and steady and dive into this very well crafted world.

There's this quest were I have to fight a Werewolf but I can't seems to kill it.

I can do good damages but he just recover too rapidly. I tried fire, the flash bomb, the magic trap, the Axii, but nothing seems to work.

So, instead of going on the internet and see were am I doing wrong, I would try to "research" the monster so that I could take it down in a proper way. The question is, how? Should I head to the nearest city and looks for book? Is there someone who can teach me this kind of things like Vesimir?

No spoiler please, I guess it would really easy to understand how to kill it through the internet but I don't want to, I just want to know if "research" is possible.

Thank you so much!

EDIT: I know about the bestiary, the right question is How do I add entries to the Bestiary? I need info before I kill the monster, not after.

Best overheard NPC dialogue?

Hey, do you have any interesting overheard NPC dialogues in the came?

One of the most interesting was a boy and girl talking in Skellige, which was as follows:

Boy: oh look there's a skeleton here!

Girl: oh, who could it have been?

Boy: you should move closer, it might have something on it that tells who it is

Girl: *moves closer*

Boy: BOOOOO!!!

Girl: Ove (maybe the boy's name)! You're such a prankster

Any others I might have missed in this world? This game was really made with a lot of love and attention to detail

How good is Wolven Storm?

Oh yeah, nothing super interesting to say here. I just want to gush about one of my favorite moments in the series. Priscila's performance of Wolven Storm is so beautiful. Obviously, you know there's the tie ins to Geralts story and all that stuff and the first time I heard it sitting there and realizing what I was REALLY hearing was incredible but like...my dude, think about this. Think about where videogames are. Do you know how insane the idea of stopping an action filled, sword slashy RPG to sing a 4 minute love song would have been when I first start playing games? Would have been...unthinkable. Absolutely nuts.

Instead. One of my favorite moments in games. I love the crowd making their little connections. I love the song too. So pretty. But mostly I love it's restraint. I love how simple and beautiful it all is.
