Should I play Witcher 3 on GOG or Steam?

I heard CD Projekt Red sold GOG. I know back in the day it was kinda like the default place to get it from since it was owned by the developer. But now that it's no longer owned by them, Im not sure if that's the case anymore. I also know GOG is under new management and not sure if its gone downhill or uphill! I know Steam is most used for PC gaming and Im on there and also on GOG. Which platform would be better to play it on? I also know patches can sometimes be a bit slow on some games which worries me for future Witcher patches.

Can I Run Witcher 3 Classic On Integrated Graphics

Hi, I have a laptop that I just bought with integrated graphics and I wanted to know if I can run this game's classic version (not next gen). I dont mind lower graphics as long as it doesnt feel bad to play/feel clunky.

Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7535hs
GPU: Integrated Radeon 660m
RAM: 16GB Dual Stick

Wow. Just wow.

I'm currently making my way through my first playthrough of The Witcher 3. I have completed the main story and now I'm working through the first DLC. I just have to say that this game is life changing. Cyberpunk has been my favorite RPG for a while, but The Witcher 3 has easily surpassed that. It's now contending with my favorite games that I've ever played. I can't believe that I waited 11 years to play this game, but I'm so glad I finally decided to play it.

How come so many common folk in Witcher 3 just let you walk into their homes and steal their stuff even when they’re in the same room?

Hi.

Love this game and it’s probably in my top 5 all-time, so this isn’t really a complaint and it makes the game easier.

But it doesn’t seem realistic to me that only when you do looting in front of the guards that you get punished.

Is it because if someone like Geralt with all these deadly weapons and armor walks into your home, you‘re immediately afraid and will not complain about losing any of your possessions?

Really bad performance on DirectX 12 (PC)

As the title says. In a situation where I get 110+ FPS on directx 11, using equivalent graphics settings on ultra+, I will get below 60FPS on directx 12. I've been trying to fix this for literally over a year now when I first got the game and it's annoying me so much, since I'm unable to run ray tracing with such a low amount of performance before it (I get below 30fps with ray tracing). I've tried:

  • Disabling freesync
  • Updating/rolling back graphics drivers (has persisted for over a year so old ones won't help)
  • Using DDU
  • Switching between borderless and fullscreen
  • Changing graphics settings
  • Contacting support (not much help when they take 4 days between replies to say something like try disabling overclocking)

I'm not going to settle just playing on dx11, because I bought the game with the intention of running maxed rt as per the official requirements. All driver settings at default by the way. Also, I have noticed complaints about having heavy CPU requirements on dx12, but my GPU is maxed at 100% so I'm not cpu bound at all.

My PC's specs are:

  • Intel Core i7-11700F
  • AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB
  • 32GB RAM
  • MSI MAG B560 Tomahawk WiFi
  • 3440x1440 175Hz FreeSync monitor

Help with collecting all gwent cards

Hi all, I recently started playing The witcher 3 for the first time and I've been loving it.

I've managed to get all the gwent cards and I'm missing 4 random cards from "players of no particular renown or skill".

I know these cards can drop from random npc's who you can play gwent with but I have no idea which ones I've already beaten. I don't want to rematch every npc in the game, so is there an alternate way to get the last 4 cards?

I do have the two dlc's. Can random npc's in the dlc's drop base game gwent cards?

Any help is appreciated.

Warming up to the Forgotten Wolf Set

Haven’t played in a good while, decided to try it out. Stands out a bit style-wise, but what Witcher gear ultimately doesn’t?

I killed a bies here. It was guarding some kind of hut I can't get into now. But there's loot in it. Was it part of a quest?
