a question about Heaven officials

Heaven officials fade away when people forget about them but i remember that in the celestial realm there are retired officials, so these gods will cease to exist by their own choice?

There are also officials from the middle court who are still waiting for their tribulation...how do they survive? Only with cultivation?

Since gods disappears when they are forgotten, it means that as long as 1 person knows about that god's existence, that god won't disappear?

Spoiler: Blackwater Arc Discussion

This has been bugging my mind. TGCF has lots of "What-Ifs" so let me ask a specific one - What if Shi Qingxuan mentioned "He-xiong" instead of "Ming-xiong"? would his fate be different?

so about Hua Cheng's mother

So i was actually digging into Hua Cheng's background and I felt a bit teary eyed by his relationship to his mother. Although his background history was not revealed, from whatever I've seen and read, he loved his mother and i fully believe his mother adored him too.

First was I realize his mother died before he was 10 and was from miao(?) clan and his father was from the Xianle kingdom. He was also kicked out of his home when he was around 10 so I believe it must be after his mother died, so if i speculate, his mother must have shielded or protected him from people who believed he was evil only because of his red eye.

It was his mother gave him such a beautiful nickname Hong Hong er and that was what he referred to himself by even after she died. She also perhaps sang lullabies to him and taught him her language as hc sang love songs in his mother's language to xl. Also the fact that even after so many years, even after 800 years , he prefers to wear an attire from his mom's place when he could be wearing something from xianle's to show have some association with xie lian , really shows she must have placed an impact on him.

idk if we ever get some backstory on hua cheng but I know Hua cheng's mother adored her little red. PS: do check this out, this is a music that I found while I was searching for songs sung by his mother to him https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zE3r9x-L9I&list=RD1zE3r9x-L9I&start_radio=1 also the credit for the absolutely stunning pic : https://x.com/Murasakinoyuki_/status/1409085673311653892

Should I take the Xie Lian curse seriously?(I'm seriously asking, not as a joke)

I have seen a lot of people discussing about inheriting Xie Lian's bad luck after cosplaying him, putting up his sticker or setting his pic as pfp.

Many of them joke about it while others seem to be kind of real about inheriting the bad luck.

So the thing is, I love Xie Lian very much and I love to put him as my pfp or wallper. Last year I set HuaLian as my wallpaper, I got a part time job, healed from anxiety (since last year, I have made an immense progress in my mental health). But I also experienced quite a lot of bad luck, my grandma's leg broke, she also caught an infection and was admitted 3 times, during that time my exams were going(we got really less time for that sem) but I passed my semester with good marks. Later I also got scammed and lost a lot of money.

This year, I have put up a pfp of Wind master and Xie Lian as my WhatsApp pfp(I love that pic sm) and all of a sudden, semester exam dates were announced and we barely have 2 weeks....

I am genuinely asking u guys, is it really real or just a joke? Cuz im really worried ngl. Pls don't jest in the comments, I request 🙏

Hua Cheng Is A Modern Byronic Love Interest

A Byronic hero is typically:

• charismatic and intelligent

• emotionally intense

• socially isolated or alienated

• morally ambiguous

• rebellious toward authority

• haunted by suffering or obsession

• devoted to a singular ideal or person

_________________________________________________

Hua Cheng checks most of those boxes:

• Outsider status: He exists outside heavenly authority and openly mocks the gods and bureaucratic order.

• Dark reputation: He’s feared as one of the most dangerous Ghost Kings, surrounded by frightening rumors.

• Emotional extremity: His devotion to Xie Lian is absolute and enduring across centuries.

• Tragic past: His childhood suffering, alienation, and death shape his identity deeply.

• Self-made power: Like many Byronic heroes, he rejects institutions and builds his own power independently.

• Self-created identity: Like many Byronic heroes, he reinvents himself after trauma and refuses society’s judgment.

• Magnetic charisma: He’s witty, theatrical, confident, and emotionally unreadable to most people.

• Moral ambiguity: He can be ruthless or violent toward enemies while remaining tender and loyal to Xie Lian.

_________________________________________________

Where he differs from the traditional Byronic model:

• less self-destructive than many classic examples.

• emotionally healthier in his central relationship than the archetype usually allows.

• His morality is selective rather than fundamentally cynical — he can be ruthless, but he’s not emotionally hollow.

• Unlike characters such as Heathcliff or Mr. Rochester, Hua Cheng’s love is ultimately stabilizing rather than corrosive.

_________________________________________________

Hua Cheng is a modernized romantic Byronic hero — dark, obsessive, powerful, and alienated, but written with emotional loyalty and tenderness that soften the archetype.

Any non-danmei series or books similar to TGCF?

I love hualian of course but the actual plot and exposition of how the story is told i find myself often unable to put down the book. I find MXTX's writing style very easy to follow as someone with a pretty short attention span and it doesent linger on topics unnecessarily but also doesent speed through events. I read a lot of things and there have been many stories i love but I did not enjoy the process of reading (ie: Dostoevsky...) and I would love to find more. I am in the process of reading both scum villain and grandmaster and some other danmei ive picked up like 2ha and ballad of sword and wine i just dont like in the same way. 😭

I do quite enjoy books that are either fantasy or historical and do not take place in modern times but I am open..... 👀👀

Looking for artists in this fandom!

Does anyone know/are there any artists here I can commission? I want to find an artists to commission for a tattoo of (light spoiler ahead kinda) Book 6 when Xie Lian is given the bamboo hat and the quote "just one person was enough!". I'm looking for someone in the Fandom because I feel like it's important to know the context of the book to make the art. Please let me know how we can get in contact!

can ghosts feel pain

i've not finished reading it yet, just started book 7, but i heard from someone  >!Hua Cheng gets stabbed in the heart when fighting Jun Wu? His pain tolerance is high, but even so does he feel the pain at all like how Xie Lian could!<
