Airsoft players?

Hi everyone,

A few friends and I are looking to find a few beginner / intermediate players that would be interested in forming a regular group to play together! We’ve previously reserved a field for private use and it was a lot more fun than open games so we’re now looking to do it on a regular basis with a solid group of players!

Brand new beginners very much welcome!!

I made a little map (app) to help us find local friends on Reddit

Hey guys,

I know making friends is hard enough, and it's even harder trying to find people on Reddit who actually live near you.

I like building things, so I put together a simple little map app right here on the platform to make it easier to find each other locally. You basically just set up a quick anonymous profile: just an alias, your age group and gender, your MBTI if you know it, and your location (nearest city).

To help support this community, I also added a feature where you can paste the link to your intro post from this subreddit directly into your map profile. That way, when locals find you on the map, they can click to read your full bio here before sending a DM!

After you check in, you can tap on your city and see who else is hanging around your area.

Hi! I'm 24f living in Tokyo doing fully remote work & I'm getting a bit tired of spending the same hours in the same Starbucks near my area on weekdays! If anyone else works remote in Tokyo I would love to try new cafe's and spots. Anywhere is good for me!

Dedicated Boardgame/TTRPG space in Tokyo (mod approved)

Howdy folks, I have set up a small sharespace for folks to play board games and TTRPGs here in Tokyo. It has a large boardgame table that converts and has all the terrain and miniature you could want for your games.

A little about me. While this is a side business it's real just to keep the lights on and pay for itself, hence the modest rate of ¥1000 per hour for using the facility. I had been printing/painting all my stuff at home but the wife didn't appreciate the noise. For work I buy and renovate properties around Tokyo so when I found this small office for a steal I figured I would set it up as a hobby space for myself and friends to use. I know how much of a pain it can be to haul hobby stuff around on the train so there are also lockers available on site that can be rented if you want a secure place to keep your stuff there. I also take requests for 3d printing if you want anything specific printed out, I ask that you just pay for time/materials.

You can DM me here or on Instagram to ask about availability but Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights all have standing bookings.

Thanks for your time, hope to see you all there.

Tokyo trip in solo, 3 days

Hi everyone!
I’m going to Tokyo for 3 days in June while spending a few weeks in Korea, and I decided to take a short trip to Japan.
I’ll be traveling solo, which honestly makes me a little anxious, especially when it comes to organization, transportation, and navigating such a huge city for a short stay.
I’d love some hotel recommendations in areas that are convenient for exploring the well-known neighborhoods, especially places related to anime figures, OC/art culture, retro games, video games, cosplay, arcades, etc.

I’m also really interested in alternative fashion and creative districts.

I’d also really appreciate any advice about:
- how to organize my days efficiently
- the easiest way to move around Tokyo without getting overwhelmed
- good spots that are interesting but not too touristy
hidden stores/cafés/retro game shops
- places to meet people (foreigners or Japanese locals) while traveling solo

If anyone has experience doing a short solo trip in Tokyo, I’d love to hear your recommendations and tips.
Thank you! :D

Personal Trainer for workout Partner

I am a 30 year old professional with personal training certification coming to Tokyo in July for language school.

I will be going to a local gym in Roppongi and thought I would open it up to anybody who wants to workout with me to join. I’ll even give free personal training if that’s what you want. I’m just thinking working out in a new country would be more fun with a friend.

Hit me up if this interests you 🤙🏼

Casual HUB meetup in Tokyo for 20s/30s?

Hi all, I’m a 31 y/o guy living in central Tokyo. I moved here from California in late 2022 and have tried a few Meetup.com events, but many felt more JP/expat dating-oriented than I was looking for.

I’m wondering if anyone would be down for a more casual meetup at a HUB or similar place in Shibuya/Roppongi/etc. just to chill, grab a drink, and make new friends. Open to both locals and foreigners, no specific agenda. Feel free to reply here if you’re interested, and I can create a LINE group or something if there’s enough interest.

New to Yokohama — where do people go to meet others?

Been exploring Yokohama lately and realized I have no idea where people actually go to socialize here 😅

Looking for fun bars, karaoke spots, cafés, nightlife areas, or honestly anywhere with a good vibe where it’s easy to meet people naturally. Open to locals, foreigners, random adventures, whatever.

Would appreciate recommendations from people who actually go out instead of just staying home watching YouTube all night.>!!<

Relatively new to Tokyo and looking for a TTRPG community to join as a complete newbie

Hi there, I have been finally settling down in to my life here in Tokyo after about a month and now I am trying to reach out and build out my social circle and getting into extracurriculars.

TTRPGS are something that I have always observed from sidelines, things like DnD I know through reading through the material and stuff like critical role, I read and listen to a lot of warhammer, so yeah I know the fandom but never got to actively participate.

I am trying to change that and see if I can find a group that would accept a newbie. I am okay joining mid campaign or if something is starting new. I am open to many different games

Availability right now I'd say I'd like to have this over the weekend morning to afternoons, because evenings usually go to some other hobbies I am trying to incubate.

I currently live in Toda, but my school is in Shinjuku so I am very open to travel to central tokyo and am flexible with shifting venues.

I'd love to find some leads and maybe get something rolling!

Warhammer TTRPG Fans - Invites Open!

Hey all,

My group is looking for new players for Fantasy Flight Games’ Rogue Trader RPG.

We’re currently running House of Dust and Ash from Dark Heresy, adapted for Rogue Trader. A few players have had to drop out due to real-life commitments, so we’re opening the table to anyone interested in joining.

We’re a friendly international group — currently with players from Taiwan, New Zealand, the USA, and Thailand — and we meet every Sunday from 9:00–13:00 at various locations around Tokyo.

If you’re interested, please message me on Reddit!
