Opinions on Widow's Bay

I have been told Widows bay is the next top of the line, S-Tier, whatever you want to call it show, but after 3 episodes I'm still not fully hooked. Don't get me wrong I like the gloomy/New England vibe but that's about it so far it's pretty slow.

Are the first few episodes set ups for a big punch later on? I have Silo above it rn (like Silo, but wouldn't say that it's must see TV).

Am I missing something or is the back half of WB whats getting everyone talking?

How do you define your "Favorite Actor"

Would you say:

A) The Actor in the most movies you watched

B) The Actor with the highest average rating of the movies you watched (minimum 3?)

C) The Actor (lead or main supporting) from your highest rated movie?

Also, how do quantify supporting roles (Ed Norton vs Brad Pitt in Fight Club)?

I would say my favorite acting performances* *of all time are Christoph Waltz in Inglorious Basterds, Heath in The Dark Knight, and Adrien Brody in The Pianist.

4th of July definitive movie list -

With the 4th of July coming up, I thought I would stake my ground on the best 4th of July movies ever put on screen.

Definitive 4th of July watchlist

Independence Day (1996) - The undisputed king of the 4th. The Bill Pullman speech is that of legends with Randy Quaid and his alien probe bringing the laughs.

Jaws (1975) - Enough said.

I know What you Did Last Summer (1997) - Hit and run on the 4th of July with our guy, Freddie Prince Jr. bringing his A game.

The Patriot (2000) - Mel Gibson might be the best dad in cinema history. A truly iconic movie that includes the late Heath Ledger.

National Treasure (2004) - Does Gen Z and Gen Alpha know that Nicolas Cage stole the Declaration of Independence? This move was an instant classic that people forget.

Top Gun (1986) - The only thing that has aged better than this movie is Tom Cruise himself.

Cape Fear (1991) - Probably the best movie on this list. De Niro kissing Juliet Lewis is one of the most disturbing scenes in cinema history.

Most OVERRATED 4th of July movie: The Sandlot. You'll be watching your phone or checking your watch after about 20 minutes. BORING...
