Shout-out Sundays

It's the end of the week, all the new releases are out, and you've probably bought them or tried them at the brewery. This is the place to give anyone and anyplace a shout-out!

Was there a new release that stood out above the rest? Did you have a good experience recently at a brewery? Do you just want to give a shout out to a brewer or bartender?

Keep the good vibes going through into the new week!

I’m Pretty Impressed With The Beer At Honda Indy In Markham

This is the beer they have available

Steam Whistle - Premium Pilsner
Beau’s Luglite - Light Lager
Beau’s Barn Burner - Amber Ale

Although I don’t drink any of these beers, I was impressed at the fact these are Ontario breweries and they are not selling Budweiser, Coors, Molson, or any of the other common garbage

The beer I find at these events is usually super weak, but this was a pleasant surprise

Of course the costs are very high, but the cost of beer at all these types of events is always ridiculous, so I’m not factoring that in. Only considering the beer lineup

Getting to Badlands by Uber

I'm planning to go to the Badlands anniversary this Saturday, but not having a car added a layer of complexity to it...

My plan is to take the go train to Mount Pleasant Go and then an Uber to and back from the brewery.

My only concern is Uber availability in that region, especially once the anniversary is done.

Has anyone done it before?

Best bars for a small group casual birthday

Hey all, wondering where’s a good place to book a table for 10-15 people for a fun group of 30/40 something year olds? Drinks and snacks only, no food. It’s a casual birthday hang. Crowd shouldn’t be too young and ideally there shouldn’t be a minimum spend but some bars like Bar Volo sadly have that.

Style of the Month August 2026: West Coast IPA

Sorry for the delay, things have been insanely busy on my end to update this.

The summer months are nearing an end, which means we are transitioning from lighter beers to heavier, malt-forward beers. What better vision of that for August is the West Coast IPA?

West Coast IPAs took over in the late 2000s/early 2010s with its characteristic citrus notes and its HEAVY pine and overwhelming bitterness. Since then. the style has had a resurgence and had changed arguably for the better, but its still known for being clean and bitter while being crushable.

What is your favourite West Coast IPA from Toronto Breweries?
