I know this may sound super weird. But I feel like someone put a gps tracker on my car. Idk if my car was tampered with but I was on the way to leave to head back home from staying out of town and my car starts acting weird and the check engine light came on. Has never happened before. I’ve never had car trouble. Well, I call my friend I was visiting and the friend met me to take a look because it was on a Sunday and mechanic shops were closed. The first thing my friend does is place some sort of wiring under my steering wheel and hooked it up. Idk anything about cars so in my mind I thought it was normal. I barely make it home with a 3 in a half hour drive because my battery cables were almost disconnected so I feel like that was tampered with because I have honestly never had an issue like that before. Have my dad look at it and of course the cables were not tightened which made me scared. I say all that to say I was unloading my car from the long trip and noticed an empty gps tracker box in the back seat of my car. I never confronted the friend but maybe I’m just crazy.

How can I see if they put a tracker on my car? Should I be concerned?

Is it normal that it's taking too long to ship? Ordered the new dog 6xl tractive, but they say they're out of stock. I find it really absurd that they sell products out of stock without prior advice. And every time I try to ask about my order status they change the estimated shipping date. I'm losing my patience. Please someone help

Power saving mode on what do I do

I’ve been using Tractive trackers for about two years with several outdoor cats and have always been very satisfied with the previous CAT Mini models.
During that time, I was able to reliably locate both my cats and any trackers that became detached. In fact, I never had to file a Tractive Care claim or warranty claim during those two years.
A few weeks ago, I upgraded all of my trackers and purchased three of the new CAT Mini trackers (2026 generation), mainly because of the significantly improved battery life. To be fair, the battery performance does seem noticeably better than with the previous generation.
However, I have now experienced the same issue with two out of the three new devices, and it has become a serious concern.
Both trackers were lost while they still had sufficient battery charge. In both cases, I used every search feature available through the Tractive system:
Disabled Power Saving Zones
Modified or removed Safe Zones
Activated Live Tracking
Used the Radar feature
Waited for multiple location updates
Attempted to use the sound and light functions
Despite all of this, I was unable to recover either tracker.
The app only displayed the last known position and repeatedly reported that the network connection was too weak to update the location. At the same time, I was physically searching in the exact area where the tracker was last reported.
What puzzles me most is that I never experienced this with the previous generation. Over the past two years, I was always able to locate lost trackers, even when they had become detached from my cats.
My main concern is not the value of the tracker itself.
The reason I buy GPS trackers is to be able to locate a cat in an emergency. If I cannot reliably locate a lost tracker, how can I be confident that I will be able to find an injured, trapped, or missing cat when it truly matters?
For context, I am not a new user. I have been using Tractive for approximately two years and am very familiar with the system and its functions. I know how to use Live Tracking, Radar, Safe Zones, and all available recovery tools. I also took the time to familiarize myself with the new CAT Mini generation before using it.
Because of that experience, I find it difficult to believe that these two incidents were caused by user error.
Has anyone else experienced similar problems with the new CAT Mini generation?
In particular, I would be interested to know:
Have you noticed differences compared to the previous CAT Mini models?
Do Live Tracking and Radar work reliably for you?
Have you experienced situations where a tracker with sufficient battery charge could no longer be located?
Are there any known issues or settings that owners should be aware of?
I am genuinely interested in hearing real-world experiences from other users before drawing any final conclusions.

both trackers set up to power saving wifi network... after 10 minutes I unplug the wifi router... and even after 20-25 minutes the trackers still show as in the power save area and connected to the wifi... so must mean they are not checking wifi every 1.5 minutes as advertised. how to fix this?

they connect perfectly when setting up the zone, so they can communicate with the modem

TL;DR

GPS needs to have timed Intervals options for both Power Saving and Normal usage modes and an OFF option in power saving mode.

OFF / 10min / 30min / 1hr / 2hr / 4hr

These times can be over ridden regardless of mode by clicking live tracking or introduce a "Get Location" button.

Most people will use these devices to FIND the pet if they think it's missing, I'm sure this could be achieved with a software update and would boost battery life considerably and look great on the sales pitch !

So my Cat 6 Mini arrived a day ago and my cat is currently locked down due to going missing for 13 days and had to catch him via an Apple Air tag and a humaine animal trap 4 roads away in the woods.

Power Saving Mode - customise SSID Radius its way too big by default - I live in terraced houses and have several WiFi Nodes 2 in the house and 1 in the garden.

WiFi certinally does not reach 5 house away either side of me.

If we are in power saving mode why are we pinging for GPS at intervals ?

We need to have the option to DISABLE GPS in power saving mode and only be able to override it by changing the settings or if we force live track mode or if the SSID drops off.

Once we are out of power saving mode we need to have an option to specify how often we "PING" GPS ( 10mins / 30mins / 1hr / 2hr /4hr )

This can be over ridden by going in for live tracking for the set time we selected at first set up.

My cats been in power saving mode since we got the collar and just over 24 hours we have lost 10% doing nothing.

I can't imagine what the system defaults are but I'd wager 30%+ a day if my cat was out as normal 8-12hrs a day.

Hey just got a Tractive dog 6 want to get the premium plan and heard you can get 30% off if someone gives you a refferal discount code does it work if I’ve already signed up I could make a new account for the new collar I have no subscription right now.

Also thoughts and opinions on the old collar vs the new one I see people complaining on here about errors but my Tractive collar the old version was 100% accurate and durable. I just lost it and didn’t have Tractive care at the time of loss. So I’m purchasing this new model. I noticed it has a slower water resistance like it can be submerged for roughly ~30m under testing conditions and pass which makes me worry if my dog is swimming for over an hour it’s best to just keep it entirely off but what if I’m also in an area where I may want to track them. Has anyone noticed good durability and water resistance from their dog 6 new standard model rather then the previous model which had a fully waterproof base model.

Is the new model better functionally, durability wise or less or more reliable and accurate. Does it bring more worth while features to the table making it worth an upgrade if you were comparing and do they still make the old model to purchase out of curiosity?

I’m considering upgrading to the cat 6 mini for one or both of my cats. How is it with tracking accuracy? Is it better, worse, or the same as the previous version? My cat Miko is maybe a pound over the suggested weight of the new tracker but I think it should still work for him.
