Hi, I’m a nonbinary butch. My gender is butch. I’m neither male nor female.

I want to change my gender marker to X but I am wondering if it would be safer and/or less complicated to continue receiving medical care to either just change my gender marker to M instead of X.

I have socially transitioned at work but can easily change my name and gender through HR. I am postponing finding another job until I get my paperwork in order.

Does anyone have any experience with this process or know of any pros or cons? TIA!
