any way to avoid ProctorU exams?
Hello, I recently switched to TRU OL from BCIT, and will soon reach the end of my first semester (and the final exams). I have ADHD and diagnosed severe anxiety. In high school, my counsellors allowed me to switch my final exams for written assignments since I had such severe anxiety attacks from exams that I ended up being hospitalized. I can understand the content perfectly, but as soon as the pressure of being timed/watched/having a final grade hits, it's like my entire memory is wiped. My thoughts get so fuzzy that I can barely read the questions, never mind solve them (yes, I've had several counsellors for this).
Is there any way I can get alternative situations for exams? I've heard you sometimes get in trouble for looking away, which is basically the only way I can think. I've got to look at a blank corner and zone out. I look all over the place trying to recall facts and "look" at the shape of math problems in the air, etc. Yet this is all only if I'm actually able to take a test without puking, passing out, or getting tachycardia. Any possible ways to contact profs or accoms to do an alternate method? For reference, I'm taking STAT1201, BIOL 1593 and BIOL 1113.
