Is Act101 a course I should take as an elective?

I am from cse department. I needed to complete a certain credit this semester so I took Act101 (all easier bba courses seats were filled up).
Everyone says it is difficult, so I am not exactly feeling confident if I can get a good grade. I also took 2 core course and a math course. What do you think? Should I drop it?

Questions About Online Learning and BCS Program

Hello,

I have not registered for any courses yet, and I have a few questions about online learning.

  1. Are quizzes and assignments open-book?
  2. Am I allowed to use any resources while taking quizzes or completing assignments?
  3. I am interested in the BCS program. I heard that ProctorU is required for final exams. If so, am I allowed to use an IDE for coding during the final exam while using ProctorU?

Thank you for your time.

I signed up for MKTG 3451 earlier today and I'm already dropping it.

I glanced through the assignments and saw this:

"This assignment involves using an AI bot in the “RNMKRS University” app to train your sales skills. Follow the instructions carefully for successful uploading."

It goes on to talk about how the fuck ass AI bot will be giving you "valuable feedback" which you then have to turn into a paper.

I'm already so frustrated with how little teaching the OL professors actually do, the bot slop feedback is a deal breaker for me.

TRU OL courses in BBA

I’m looking to take a few open learning courses this summer, and I’m trying to choose a humanities elective between:
CMNS 3211 Digital Communities
CMNS 3251 Proposal Writing

Proposal writing seems like it’ll be a good skill for the future, but I don’t want an overly hard elective. What is your experience with these two courses?

Upper level elective between:
BBUS 3331 Intro to Production and Operations MKTG 3481 Marketing Research
ORGB 3711 Teamwork in Organizations

I’ve seen people saying that ORGB is easy, BBUS looks like it would be interesting, and MKTG useful. I don’t want the course to be too hard. But I’m mostly looking for any input anyone has on these courses and your experience with them.

How is Gregory Simmonds as a professor?

I have CONV1011 (Intro to Tourism) with him online. Has anyone taken that or any other class with him?

How is he? RateMyProfessors suggests that he's pretty intense.

Open Learning communication struggles

Hey all, I got accepted into the business cert program and had really good communication with advisors and such up until it came time to register. I have an education fund and I can't access that money until I have proof of enrollment.

I know logically I might have to pay out of pocket and then get that letter but my advisor told me to talk to records about it and see what they could do. I've emailed records twice now within the last 3 weeks and haven't heard anything back. I want to make sure this proof of enrollment letter is for sure something they can give me before I dish out hundreds of dollars that I can't afford to not recoup via the fund.

I wish TRU had a phone number I could call, emailing back and forth like this gets really frustrating. If anyone has any leads or suggestions id really appreciate it.

Wondering if the paced OL courses have not shown up on Moodle yet for the summer semester? I’m registered in three courses, but none of them are showing on Moodle.

Hello, all!

I'm a student who registered for BAA of Psychology for 2026-2027 and I'm accepted into the east village 4 person dorms.

Just looking for any stories about the dorm experience, good or bad, to get an idea of what to expect, thanks!
