YouTube Layout: Change the number of videos per row displayed on the homepage BUT NOT channel pages

I would like to be able to view 4 videos per row on channel pages, but only see 3 per row on the homepage (the thumbnails and text is too small for me otherwise).

I found this prior thread on how to change the number for both the homepage and channels, would I be able to change or remove something from this to allow this filter to only affect channel pages, or is there something else I would need to add?

Thank you.

YoutubeTV constantly being filtered, hitting 1000s within hours

Genuinely wtf is wrong with YouTubeTV? I'm using ublock lite on "optimal" mode on Chrome on a system I use purely for streaming TV. And from the moment I open the youtubetv website, it keeps constantly trying to do something that gets filtered by ublock. It does it every few seconds. After only a few hours of having the TV on in the background, its already filtered something 1000s of times.

This pic is from me leaving it on over night. 12,000 !?!?!? Wtf is it doing, and is there some combo of ublock options or VPN filtering I can use to stop it entirely? I mean the website still works, but it just seems extremely inefficient and wrong to let it keep doing this.

where can I request ads to get blocked that aren't already?

On rare occasions when using uBlock Origin (with pretty much all the filters enabled), I come across a website that still serves me an ad. I was wondering if there is an official form to fill out or a place to request that it be looked into to block it. Or maybe I'm better off trying to contact the creators of the filters themselves somehow? (I wouldn't know how to do that)

An example of what I mean: Downloadsource.net on every article that I've clicked on has the same Amazon ad in the sidebar for the same product (a 2TB external hard drive).

Block Rufus sidebar on uBlock Origin

Lately, Amazon's Rufus force-loads when I load the amazon.com page. I was unable to disable this through an account or browser preference.

I do, however, run uBlock Origin on my browser. By adding the following to uBlock's 'my filters', I was able to stop the flyout and return amazon.com to load quickly.

! --- Amazon Rufus Nuke ---
! Block the network requests so Rufus scripts never load
||*^*rufus$domain=amazon.com

! Hide the Rufus UI elements entirely
amazon.com##.rufus-panel-container
amazon.com###nav-flyout-rufus
amazon.com##button#nav-rufus-disco
amazon.com##.nav-rufus-disco
amazon.com##.s-ask-rufus-mshop-suggestion-container

! Reclaim the empty whitespace/padding Rufus leaves on the page
amazon.com##body.rufus-docked-left:remove-class(rufus-docked-left)
amazon.com##body.rufus-docked-right:remove-class(rufus-docked-right)
amazon.com##body:is(.rufus-docked-left, .rufus-docked-right):remove-attr(style)
amazon.com##body:style(padding-left: 0px !important; padding-right: 0px !important;)

Allow 1st party css/stylesheet only, block ALL else?

Just want to read formatted text on most of the sites I frequent, but have not found a way, syntactically, to globally block all, BUT allow 1st party css/stylesheet.

There is a dearth of info here, or elsewhere, on such a setting.

@@*^$stylesheet,1p

doesn't seems to do what I need.
Is it possible?
Thanks.

Discord: Trying to remove Shop, Quests and Nitro

Processing img izpemh7qlx1h1...

I want to remove Nitro, Shop and Quest from the list above; I have no need for those for the foreseeable future, and if I ever do need any of them I can just re-enable the one(s) I want.

Block element doesn't work, it targets the entire area, including Friends, and doesn't allow me to pick more specifically than that. I found this 7-month old post, but the solution provided quickly became partially obsolete, as it now only removes Shop.

Old, now partially-obsolete solution: discord.com##ul[aria-label="Direct Messages"]>li:has([href="/store"],[href="/shop"],[href="/quest-home"])

PS: For some reason, my attempts to upload a screenshot of the relevant part of the Discord page for this issue keeps failing.

Where is the post with all the youtube filters?

Hello

I'm not really tech savy so bear with me please

I'm trying to setup a filter list for a new computer and I know there is a post made by the moderators with all the most common filters. The issue is that I can't find it. It is not in the youtube megathread, not in the youtube tweaks, popular sites solutions, etc

I normally can find it after a few minutes of searching but this time i had no luck. I believe it would be cool to have it as a direct link in the flair or section.

Can someone please link me the post please?

Thank you in advance !

Should I add more blocklists to uBO?

My work requires visiting websites across multiple regions. Should I enable all the 'Regions and languages' filters?

BBC blurred image and overlay

BBC has started adding blurring and an overlay.

For example this article, and then just scroll down a bit to get the pop up and blurring:

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c2l2p0wwzzdo

Any ideas on how to avoid this using ublockorigin?

I'm using Firefox 150.0.3 and uBlockOrigin 1.70.0.

Edit: the blocking seems to be regional, I'm in the US.

Edit: Thanks for the help, these rules work on desktop. On mobile scrolling still fails but you can switch to desktop mode to read them:

! Blocks BBC overlay::
buy-eu.piano.io##.inner-container
buy-eu.piano.io##.footer
bbc.com##.tp-active.tp-iframe-wrapper
! BBC prevent blurring as part of the overlay:
bbc.com##.tp-modal
bbc.com##.tp-active.tp-backdrop
! BBC and allow scrolling:
bbc.com##body:style(overflow: auto !important;)

Adblock detection on cheezburger.com

https://failblog.cheezburger.com/

Since last week the cheezburger sites have been locked behind an adblock detection. Adblock appears to be through a company called Admiral. I'm using Firefox.

Who can bypass adblock detection on this site? (Warning NSFW)

The site is xcandid.vip

It's the same adblock detection on every video.

I'm not able to bypass this adblock detection. I tried some scripts for tampermonkey but they all seem to be old and outdated.

The adblock detection seems to be imbedded with the video so you cant simply just remove the element because then you wont be able to watch the video. I tried blocking javascript from running on the site but then the site wont function properly and the video wont even show up.

Hopefully some of you guys in this community can help me solve this issue!

Hide posts that people have reblogged from me on Tumblr

I already have an extension that hides my own reblogs on my dashboard. The problem is that I still see posts from mutuals that reblog posts from me. Is there a way I can hide posts that originate from my account?

Link to an example post

I suspect that I should look at the words "Reblogged balentay", but I'm not quite certain how to go about utilizing that. Any help would be appreciated!

Full black screen when using maxroll website with firefox

When the new Diablo 4 expansion launched a few ago, I hopped back on maxroll to check out builds and popular classes. Hadn't played for a good two years and since then, maxroll has completely blocked their site from being viewable with uBO turned on. There are no navigation tools as soon as the page loads with uBO turned on. Once off, the site functions like normal.

Disabling it fixes the problem but this is not ideal due to the pure molestation of my eyes with all of the ads on maxroll. I've tried a few different filters that I've found through google but none of them have made a difference.

Has this been an ongoing issue with maxroll or does anyone know of a way to fix this issue?

Stop AI search icon from replacing regular search icon on americanbanker.com

I am trying to make filters to block the AI search bar on https://www.americanbanker.com/.

When the page initially loads, the search icon displays as a regular icon in element .Page-header-search.

https://preview.redd.it/83k0ahm96d1h1.png?width=56&format=png&auto=webp&s=5a22d5156e965cc1b0ca2fcb06eefa94e6272aa9

However, shortly after the page loads, the search element is hidden with display: none !important; and a new element for an AI search, .miso-page-header-search gets created to be shown instead.

https://preview.redd.it/t2eww4dw5d1h1.png?width=72&format=png&auto=webp&s=a12b28142f817da9059643c7c1f87dc7c8991067

I attempted to override the styles to unhide the regular search and rehide the AI search. However, this resulted in the search bar not appearing when the search icon is clicked. The display: none !important rule gets applied to both the search icon and the child search bar. which overrides the "unhiding" that normally happens when the search icon is clicked.

www.americanbanker.com##.Page-header-search:style(display: block !important)
www.americanbanker.com##.miso-page-header-search:style(display: none !important)

(For reference, I am aware an AI overview AI still appears when using the non-ai labeled search, however I have separate filters to block that. This is only focused on blocking the sparkly AI search bar on the main page)

Is there a filter rule I can apply to stop the non-AI search bar from getting overridden on americanbanker.com?
