any way to remove this "Ask" AI popup in the Reddit search bar?

I had previously used the filters from these posts, which successfully hid the AI icon from the search bar. Now there's this new icon in the dropdown which I cannot hide via picker and is unaffected by the previous filters.

The only thing that pops up when I hover my mouse over it is "Turn on AI Search" because, naturally, I have all AI tools turned off. But the icon remains for some innane reason.

Any info or help is very much appreciated ty!

Please take a look at my current filter lists and let me know what you think. I have strict ETP enabled in Firefox. I'm a privacy oriented individual.

Hey everyone,

I have seen several posts addressing the filter lists in uBlockOrigin, but these are what I have currently enabled along with the ETP in Firefox. Do you think they are redundant or are they perfectly fine when it comes to privacy?

Thanks!

uBlock Origin's effect on speed/perf

Question for the devs/experts, sometimes I see people say that the full fat version of uBlock Origin can be quite "heavy" and it can be noticeable on older or slower devices (whereas uBlock Origin Lite is less taxing), but I've also seen proof that uBlock Origin actually helps perf and page load times. So I guess my question is, what is the truth? And we're looking for real world proof because isolated benchmarks might not tell us the truth

how to block reddit pop-up banner with no ability to exit out forcing users to log in on incognito?

the banner in question with no ability to X out

i searched before posting but i haven't seen this specific banner outside of a similar graphic being used on the left sidebar. i try to block the banner itself, but there's a background that makes the screen darker before it...if i block that too, my scroll bar gets yoinked. refreshing the page gives it back, but only for so long before it gets yoinked again. not sure how to block it without killing the scroll bar too in the process.

How to add this filter on ubo lite

! remove offline service worker
||www.youtube.com/sw.js$script

Recently on computer I started using this filter on YouTube to bypass detection, works perfectly.

I can’t add it to ubo lite for some reason, it looks like a syntax error (just red text)

I even removed the label and the || signs but something still needs to be added for it to recognize the code. I’m just not aware of what. Thank you so much in advance

-www.youtube.com/sw.js$script (without the hyphen. doesn’t work still)

I want to prevent certain websites from appearing in my Google search results. Is that possible with uBlock

For example, even if I type “Twitter” into Google, I don't want Twitter to appear in the search results. Is that possible with uBlock

Why aren't there dynamic filter lists?

I kind of wanted to try medium mode but I saw that it would break things and I'd need to fix things. That's fine, but got me wondering: why don't dynamic filters have built-in lists that I could use like static filters do? What exactly prevents that from working?

Links on old reddit containing backslash-underscore, replace with just underscore

Using old reddit in a desktop browser, I see links that contain a backslash before an underscore.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List%5C_of%5C_spacecraft%5C_intentionally%5C_crashed%5C_into%5C_extraterrestrial%5C_bodies

The link (href) contains percent-encoded backslash when I inspect the link in the original post, and the backslash is just the visual representation.

Is there a way to remove that backslash leaving only the underscore, when I click the link?

About disgusting Facebook devs

We won't support facebook any more. It's a disgusting anti-user site. All it does is watching open-source projects doing everything in public and counter them to deliver the malicious ads. Yep, the devs that receive 7-figure dollar salary is just doing this.

Users should give the most harsh feedbacks to them. Being submitted to them and keep going to the site and support it is the worst thing you can do.

Block eBay tracking and browser fingerprinting from heavily obfuscated Javascript file

I recently found this non-descriptive script running in the background when visiting eBay:

https://www.ebay.com/sgXzq80-U/7h6Zktl/vg/2zuzzSca/T306UUA/dEF1Ly/hJUkMT

Archive: https://archive.ph/Kr0iP

Syntax: https://www.ebay.com/XXXXXXX-X/XXXXXXX/XX/XXXXXXXX/XXXXXXX/XXXXXX/XXXXXX?v=XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX

which then saves these cookies to the browser:

__ssds "{SINGLE_DIGIT_INTEGER}"

__ssuzjsr2 "{RANDOM_HEX_HASH}"

__uzma "{UUID_V4}"

__uzmb "{TIMESTAMP_INTEGER}"

__uzmc "{LARGE_INTEGER}"

__uzmd "{TIMESTAMP_INTEGER}"

__uzme "{INTEGER}"

__uzmf "{COMPLEX_TRACKING_STRING}"

bm_s "{LARGE_BASE64_TOKEN}"

bm_so "{LARGE_BASE64_TOKEN}"

dp1 "{DEVICE_PARAM_STRING}"

ds2 "{DEVICE_CONFIG_STRING}"

ebay "^sbf=#{HEX_COLOR_CODE}"

nonsession "{SESSION_TOKEN_STRING}"

s "{SESSION_TOKEN_STRING}"

Examining this file through Claude and Gemini shows Akamai tracking and telemetry through extreme browser fingerprinting which is hidden through heavily obfuscated code. I'm currently blocking it with this rule, but I believe it can be improved:

||ebay.com/sg*/*/vg/*/*/$script

No account is needed and this script runs on every page. Any help is appreciated.

Question about medium mode

Hello,

I've been using medium mode for over 8-9 years now and over these years and I've always carried over the same file (from chrome. Now on firefox) and as things go I've accumulated a huge number of rules.(Alot of dead sites etc.)

When I started using medium mode almost a decade ago I did it because I heard medium mode can make the browser use less resources and make it snappier.

Is medium mode Still worth it for performance reasons or is it not worth doing anymore (if browser performance is the goal?)

Seriously considering just starting over fresh on default settings but I am a bit attached to my old settings.

Regards

(Youtube) (Desktop) Just two small, tiny very minor annoyances but..

Hello there.

Recently Youtube changed its UI a little, making the video title under the video itself clickable, which brings you to comments and opens a "Description" box. And I would like it as it was, NOT being clickable and NOT having a description box, ever.

Does anyone have a filter for that, if it's not too bother?
