Hangin on to hope.
I’m typing this because I’m just feeling so lost and defeated today.
After my last relationship ended, my heart feels broken beyond repair. I put so much of myself into it, only to realize that when things got real, I wasn't being accepted for who I truly am. It made me feel like completely closing the door on dating for good.
I know I’m not perfect. I’m carrying grief, I have flaws, and I’m actively trying to heal and work on things every single day. But I always thought that’s what a good partner does—they see you in your entirety, including the messy parts you’re still working on, and they choose to learn and grow with you anyway.
Is that just a fairytale now? Have any of you been at this exact point—feeling like your heart was totally shattered and that you were "too much" for someone—and actually found a partner who accepted all of you, grief and all?
I just really need a little hope right now.
