Always hated the exposed space in the MK7 bay - 3D scanned it and modeled a cover that drops right in

Been bugged for ages by that exposed space on the driver's side of the MK7 bay - you know the one, with the wiring and brackets just hanging out.

Spent a few months designing one in CAD, went through three prototypes, and finally got it where I wanted it. 4mm ABS, drops right in with the included bracket, no drilling or trimming.

Did a first batch of 15 and managed to get fitted on a few different MK7s - Golf, GTI, and a Jetta. Pics in the gallery.

Heads up - won't fit cars with the washer fluid reservoir on the passenger side, so check yours before getting excited.

Curious what the sub thinks. Happy to answer questions.

We designed an engine bay panel cover for the VW MK4 in CAD - and had to make two versions because of the washer tank

Been working on an engine bay panel cover for the MK4 platform - Golf, Jetta, Bora, R32, all of them. Designed it in CAD, made it from 4mm ABS plastic, bolt-on with a bracket included.

Sounds simple, until we realized the MK4 came with two different washer fluid tank sizes depending on the market:

- 3L tank — North American spec (US/Canada)

- 5.5L tank — European spec

The tanks sit in different positions and take up different space, so one panel design doesn't fit both. We ended up modeling two separate versions to make sure the fitment is clean on each.

Works across all MK4 engines - 1.6, 1.8T, TDI, VR6, R32. No cutting, no modifications, just bolts in.

If you're not sure which tank you have — check the size printed on the reservoir itself, or just look at how much space it takes up in the bay. Happy to help figure it out if you drop your market/year in the comments 👇

Our T3 Multivan's (Vanagon) aluminum door sill trim was gone - so we made a plastic replica from scratch

https://preview.redd.it/nezvmzmq350h1.jpg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cbc824717961658913af349cef187428f4d180e8

The original VW T3 Multivan came with an aluminum sliding door threshold trim - but finding a decent replacement is nearly impossible at this point. Most are cracked, worn out, or just missing entirely.

So we reverse-engineered it and made our own version in CAD. The replica is made from 4mm ABS plastic - it follows the exact shape of the original aluminum piece and fits T3 models with a raised floor (the ones with a step). Snaps right into place, no modifications needed.

Obviously it's not metal, but ABS handles daily wear surprisingly well - resistant to moisture, temperature changes, and the constant friction from shoe soles. And it makes the doorway look clean and finished again.

Happy to answer questions.
