Stud earring recommendations / how to tell if it's a good deal or a scam?
I would like to get a pair of moissanite stud earrings in solid gold (likely 14k) as an upgrade from the gold-plated CZ I've worn near-continuously for the past 5 years, as the plating is now wearing off.
My main problem is that I don't know how to tell what's a good deal vs a scam that's too good to be true! For example, I see AEAW and Kuololit recommended on here, but when AEAW has earrings listed as solid 14k for only ~$60, but Kuololit is $200+, I'd like to go cheaper obviously if it's a similar product, but I'm just concerned about what such a big price difference might mean?
I would also appreciate any recommendations! What I'm looking for:
- 1 to 2 ct total (0.5-1 ct per earring)
- solid yellow gold/hypoallergenic (I put these together because usually 14K doesn't bother me but I do often react to cheaper metals)
- bezel setting would be nice
- screw back or other secure back would be nice
