AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE A MAC

I’m only speaking for Mac users! This is the location in Colorado Springs.

TLDR; they gave me the wrong screen, I said I wanted my old broken screen back and a refund because they misled me about having access to Apple parts, they agreed, then refused because of “moisture damage” that they wiped off and a crack that was not there when I returned the device.

I asked them for an Apple OEM screen replacement on my Mac and they agreed, then they gave me a third party screen that was also the wrong color. I said I wanted an OEM and they said it would cost more, so I told them to call me before they ordered the part, which they did not do, so I called them and found out they ordered another third party and not Apple OEM and told me that they would be heavily fined for distributing Apple parts (did not specify which parts, only said Apple). I decided to temporarily keep the new screen since I needed my laptop for work. I talked to support and asked for a refund, to which the parent company said yes to as long as the screen was undamaged. I returned the screen undamaged for a reversion and refund, but with some fingerprints, and they completed the screen reversion but refused a refund due to “moisture damage” and a crack on the screen near the hinge. I told them that I did not crack it and it was likely from when they were reverting the screens, and they said they checked their security footage (small cameras far away from they were working) and said it was not from the reversion but did not allow me to see the footage. I then asked to see them moisture damaged, and the worker said he could not show it to me because he wiped it off and would instead need to do microscopic testing.

TBH I’m just tired of this company, and I’ve learned my lesson; always go to the Apple Store or just buy a new computer. Customer support is taking forever to get back to me, so I might just file a chargeback.

Asurion Tech Care membership - how does cancellation work?

Yesterday, I took my Samsung phone for repair to this ubreakifix center. They fixed it all right. But when it came to payment, they gave me two options: either pay $199 outright, or take our tech care plan for $39/month and pay $50. I asked him how long do I need to keep the plan for before discontinuing? He said three months and that I had to call them to remove myself off the plan. I did the math and it still worked out better than paying outright.

Phone is repaired fine, I come home, click on the link they sent to add devices under care and find out there's an option to cancel the membership. Not only did it cancel the membership immediately, but also refunded the first month's $39. I also checked my credit card and I don't see even the $50 posted for phone repair.

A. Is it compulsory to keep membership for 3 months? If not, why did the store guy randomly lie?
B. I'm assuming they'll post at least the $50 for the actual repair since they sent me an invoice with it.
C. Has anyone cancelled membership online and then been charged for 3 months at the end of their first month?

Rma warranty update?

It's been a month. I can't find/access anywhere on their site to check my status. I call and they say no one available, please when someone is. No option to wait on hold. I have sent three emails with no response. Anyone have a better way to get an update? I'm in Canada if that helps

Google Pixel Repair - Phone was lost over a month ago and nothing has been done about it.

My phone was mailed July 9th for repair, confirmed as delivered on July 10th and has been stuck as "waiting to receive device" on the website and they have no idea what happened to it. I have been back and forth via email and phone for the last month with nothing getting accomplished. They have assured me they are "looking into it" for a month now. I honestly have no idea what to do and I need to get my phone back. I can provide details, screenshots and a full timeline. I tried earlier but my post was filtered out due to rule #9 and I don't want my post to get filtered out again.

Will I be charged for nothing

TL;DR: do I have to pay a fee for my switch that got sent off to another facility even if repairs weren’t done

I sent in my switch to get diagnosed because I did know that the right joycon rail wasn’t working but it also stopped turning on and I didn’t know why. I am aware this is my fault for not doing more research or asking questions, but I didn’t know they were gonna ship it off somewhere to get diagnosed instead of doing it in stores, or that they would continue into repairs without my permission or giving me a quote of how much it would be beforehand. I called today on a Sunday and was told it would probably be 175 total which isn’t acceptable at all for me because I know new switches bought from Nintendo go for 300 but that’s still half the price of a brand new one and doesn’t take into the fact that I got this USED switch for 150. I could buy a whole other switch for this price. The guy told me he can’t try and cancel the repair until tomorrow so I’m 90% sure I’m gonna have to be forced to pay the repair fee. But if by some miracle I’m not, from reviews at least, I’m under the impression I’m still gonna have to pay a decently sized fee from 60-100 for them to do nothing. Will I have to pay this even if I can get the repairs canceled?

Test for THC?

I've been thinking of applying to ubreakifix since I think it would be a great fit for me. I don't regularly smoke and certainly don't do it on the job, but I do often enough with friends that it would trip a test (THC stays in my system for a while). Am I okay or should I make sure I stop completely for a bit?

Does UBIF do N3DSXL repairs?

I've recently noticed my New 3DS XL has been acting a little strange recently like freezing during gameplay and crashing out of nowhere as well as the speakers popping followed by the screen backlights turning on when powering on the console. I was hoping to take it in to the shop in Temecula but I'm unsure if UBIF can do the repair necessary. (Going off what I've read over the last few days, the most likely cause is a hardware fault caused by blown fuses or capacitors, but the 3DS uses small surface mount capacitors which require micro-soldering to replace due to their size) Anyway that's all I've gotta ask.
