Jehst - Work Ethic

As someone born and raised in NYC, hip-hop was just a part of my life. I caught wind of and started listening to Jehst in my early 20s. Always thought he was on point, and had an ear for great production on the beats. I’m in my 40s now and still look out for his stuff whenever it drops. My only question would be, how the hell did an artist of Jehst’s talent not blow up and become a much bigger name in the rap community out in UK?

Where to buy beats

I dropped 2 albums when I was 17 and 18, spent 10 years in metal bands, now I wanna do a new hiphop project. Where do you guys buy beats these days? I'm looking for like Newyork boom bap 90s style stuff.

Skepta ‘Pop Slop’ Debate

Saw Skepta post this the other day and it made me wonder which of his own tracks he was referring to as pop slop. He’s done some questionable ones over the years! Also, this is not Skepta hate he’s one of my favourite artists been listening to him since like 2007.

Some that came to mind for me were:

Also wondered what period he meant by ‘sick run’ - maybe Microphone Champion or Been There Done That?

What happened to that Milkavelli, Lee and Playboy Carti song?

My memory might be a bit foggy but Milkavelli had a track out with Lee and Carti, I think it got released on Blah with a video by AboveGround but I can't find it anywhere?

I'm just curious as to why it got removed? I've read that the carti verse gets thrown around a lot maybe that's it? It could also be because of the whole Milk scandal but none of the other videos have been taken down
