Got a rare free weekend and fancy getting away and hitting up a rave, anyone know of any decent Dnb or garage events?

Hope everyone who managed to stay enjoyed this set as much as I did.

I m a foreigner who ended up all alone in Dover, trying to find people who enjoy the better side of life and start getting out there, 27 M, never been to a rave, I ve had a few house parties where we played mostly Zhu, minimals, techno,house and some, I m fine with many EDM genres myself, I like jungle and I m pretty sure psytrance is a warm hand rubbing my soul, I don t mind darker subgenres, I m a very bubbly person myself, just need to get bubbly people to meet and have fun with.Mush luv!

I've got non-camping tickets for Saturday + Sunday and was planning to attend it with a friend. My friend can't make it now so I've got no company. This is my first time and I was really looking forward to it.I would appreciate if there's any group I can buddy up with.

Love to hear what this community thinks of WHP as an entity? On the one hand, they do seem to conjur up some cool lineups with some once in a lifetime combinations - the Overmono event this year features James Blake b2b Joy Orbison, DJ Bone, Blawan, to name a few...

However, it seems to be the antithesis of what the scene SHOULD be about, and I'm aware of its exclusivity contracts and stranglehold over other Manc clubs.

Is it a hit or miss?

I should add, I've been about 7 times previously and always had a brilliant time, despite a lot of the comments I see on line regarding sound quality, crowds etc...

First night out in london so I don't know lot about here.
I'm thinking Om and Dalston den but idk how they are and.. feel like I need more options..
any recs?
Also.. is there anything I have to know before going london clubs? Anything, cuz I don't want to be the weird one!

Got two tickets for lost village to sell - bought for £400 and happy to sell for £300 ONO.

So me and my mate (both 17) are really wanting to go to the dead calm show on the 11th next month, but I just looked on the village underground london website and it says everyone 16-17 needs someone over 18 to go with them.

My question is, if anyone is over 18 and going to the show can we exchange names and everything so we could get in?

Hi guys, bit random, I was wondering how you all find the crowd in junction 2? I haven’t been in a number of years and have sorta forgotten. To cut a long story short, I have been considering getting day festival tickets for my parents (and I) for Christmas. We haven’t been able to party together in a while now cuz we’ve all been so busy so I thought they’d rly like the sentiment of me organising it!

Don’t get me wrong they’re not your usual 56 year olds. They are fairly frequently going to house/techno events and definitely dabble in substances when appropriate 😅 Daniel avery is one of their all time favs so they were jealous when I said how often he is at junction 2

They used to go to lost village festival religiously but haven’t in quite a while. One thing I remember about LV is that it’s a welcoming atmosphere. My parents are also “older” of course but there are many other peoples their age and they always seemed to make friends, they never feel weird or “too old” / “not aesthetic enough” in environments like LV.

I really loved junction 2 when I used to go but me and my boyfriend do like the harder end of techno I suppose so one worry I have is that it’ll be too hardcore at times, mum particularly seems to enjoy quite queer inspired house music / disco although enjoys some techno too, I think i remember some more laid back ambient stages too . The other worry is that the atmosphere could be a little unfriendly. last time I was there I noticed more aggy roadman types than usual / dudes leering at me. I wouldn’t want them to feel on edge there, but maybe it’s a lush vibe there and I just imagined it. I also heard that it’s gotten even more crowded with the removal of stages? They like space to dance, often opting for space further to the back 🤔 it’s a shame that Junction 2 did this

Am I overthinking this? Any opinions?
Are there alternate day festival suggestions? I’d been meaning to take them to an alfresco disco in Bristol which always feel like they’d enjoy it whenever I’ve been but the events are so sporadic it would be hard to book one for a Xmas present lol 🤷🏼‍♀️

TL:DR is this event too sketchy for a pair of fairly gentle older ravers- other suggestions ?

Me and my boyfriend are no longer able to attend body movements cos of work :( I've got a before 2pm ticket and he's got a before 4pm ticket if anyone's hoping to pick one up? face value pls I'm skiiint
