What Nations should be in a modern Counterinsurgency War SIM / TTRPG

Hello, I am building a new modern COIN warsim / TTRPG where the players can choose a country of origin and the appropriate squad weapon locker as they set up their characters for the session. I started with the US and UK, then started adding a few more, but really just pulling from the Afghan / ISIS War participants. Who do you guys want to play as?

Stunning 22mm modern game using What a cowboy/cartel rules in Prague Wargames Club. 🔥

Wargaming in Czechia - Stunning 22mm modern game using What a cowboy/cartel rules in Prague Wargames Club. 🔥 If you're from Czechia and want to join the community, feel free to DM/comment and I will navigate you to the Czech historical wargaming group. 😉 Pics from Andreas. 📷

Also, small AAR from Andreas: We tried "What a Cartel" by Too Fat Lardies. It’s a modern-day variation on "What a Cowboy." The game is just as fun as the cowboy version, but the Ukraine theme doesn’t really fit. It’s more geared toward individual "soldiers"—that is, battles between drug cartels and the police and similar shenanigans. For the Ukrainian battlefield, we’ll stick with INX, which fits better, but we liked the rules for how vehicles and tanks are handled (basically very similar to CoC), and since INX’s tanks are pretty half-baked, we’ll run it using these rules.

The scenario itself was about heroic Ukrainians freeing DHL employees from Russian clutches, which they succeeded in doing. Although a Russian T-80 arrived and managed to destroy a Ukrainian Bradley, the DHL employees managed to escape into a parked red Charger.

Future Wars.

Here’s a pair of 1/24 scale models by the nice people at MasterBox that do a really nice job of imagining what the battlefields of the near future may look like. Not the easiest builds but if you are familiar with these kinds of figures then it’s not too bad. I think these look plausible unlike a lot of stuff that’s too far into the realm of sci-fi. So what exactly does the future hold for the warrior?

Hey, everybody. Noob here. I've got a group that I play TTRPGs with on a weekly basis (mainly D&D). I ran a small Twilight 2000 campaign and really enjoyed the setting, environment, and assets and my group keeps mentioning me running it again. I would love to continue running the T2K campaign, but I was thinking something a little less crunchy would suit me and my group better. My idea was to continue the vibe of T2K but with a ruleset from possibly Spectre Operations? Basically they would keep their characters from T2K, and each week they would have a mission or task to complete using the rules etc from a wargame. Basically a "campaign style Spectre". Is this possible with Spectre or any other modern wargame on the market?

We would have 4 players + GM(who would control opfor). Would each person be able to control their own team memeber? I would like it to be turn based. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.
