Hello, I just got accepted to Padova next year and got a single flat in a dorm. On the contract it's written that no visitors are allowed to stay over, is this rule really checked/inforced, or is this for insurance reasons ? As I have a single flat I have no roommate so it should not bother anyone...

For the document legalization, do I need to get the documents translated into Italian first and then apostille the translation, or apostille the original document first and then get it translated? Does the order even matter, or is it the same either way? Trying to figure out the right order before I start running around getting everything done. Thanks!

Visto che ho appena finito gli esami, non riesco a fare il test subito ed ho deciso di fare il TOLC-I l'8 agosto per poi puntare alla graduatoria di settembre.

Qualcuno mi spiega brevemente:

1)Come funziona l'iscrizione su Uniweb dopo aver fatto il test l'8 agosto?

Ciao everyone, I would appreciate help in any form, I am so desparate at this point. (Have to start Master's in Padova from October)

Firstly, only 10% of the landlords answer to my messages at all, I have no idea whether it has something to do with the language or what. I am from Armenia, still learning Italian, so I ask them more details about the apartments/rooms in English.

Secondly, they are mostly not aware of any documents that I will need, like declaration of hospitality for permesso di soggiorno.

Third, even if they are aware they say they cannot provide it, some just dont give that paper, and some give that paper but dont register the contract.

Fourth, no flexibility with contracts at all, like they cant adjust a 18 month contract in any way, neither shorten nor extend.

5, they basically want me to pay for the summer breaks as well even if im not going to be in Italy, without the option to sublet the room to someone else. This is frustrating.

How can I proceed in this situation? Any ideas or tips? Thanks in advance!

I am a non-EU student considering pre-enrollment in Padova University for Medicine. I heard they moved the course to Venice. Is it really that bad? Can I still use the Padova University facilities (i.e. dorms, libraries, clubs) and is it viable for me to live in Padova and commute to Venice everyday?

If the cons outweigh the pros, what other unis do you recommend? The others I am looking at either don't have many seats or the IMAT cutoffs seem very high

I’m applying for an Italian national student visa from Belarus through the Italian Embassy in Minsk.

For my visa application, I booked temporary accommodation in Cassino through booking com for 20 nights, from September 2 to September 22. The booking confirmation includes my name, the property address, check-in/check-out dates, price, and confirmation number

However, the booking has free cancellation until August 2, and payment is at the property / upon arrival. So it is not prepaid.

My question is: can this type of hotel reservation still be accepted by the Italian embassy as proof of accommodation for a student visa? Or do they usually require a paid booking, rental contract, or a host declaration?

I got into the university of padova for bachelors in information engineering for the batch 2026-27 and I'm still contemplating wether it is a good University and I am not so sure abt the city padua and how the living conditions are there especially for students and how it is financially for a student, I also wanna know abt of there are any part time jobs or paid stuff for students so they can get a little sum of money for their personal spendings and if the city is overall safe for girls...I am trying to learn italian but I am a real beginner level yet so I wanted to also know if I'll face issues and if yes then what kinds

Is via de Pescarotto too far away from the medicine and surgery departments?

I found a room in a house there and I know the distance is almost 3km to the hospitals. I would like to know if it is an area with access to public transport, if it is safe to walk to the center, if you can find supermarkets there… looks a little bit isolated, But I don’t have many options so It would be great to know more about the region!

Could someone from last year, or previous years, tell me about past reassignments for EU? What rank was the last person admitted, and which reassignment had the largest change? I am not sure about it, but from what I can see, the last admitted student was often at least in the 70s. Of course, every year is different, but it is a bit sad that currently it has stopped at 62nd because there were already enough pre-enrolled people. Nevertheless, congratulations to those who got accepted!

Hi, I realize this isn't really connected to the university, but I need urgent help: I'm from Germany and a couple of weeks ago I lost my wallet while (including my ID card and driver's license) travelling on a Flixbus. Banking cards are locked and I don't care about the cash in it. It's been found and now being stored in a bus depot in Padua. The staff there are apparently unwilling to mail it to me. Ordering a courier service would cost around 600€. I'm looking for people willing to go to that depot, pick up my wallet and drop it off as an interantional package at the italian post office or a delivery service of some kind. I'll pay for the troubles of course. Alternatively, I'd be happy about pointers where else I could ask for help. Thanks a lot in advance!

In the rankings I got my fee waiver and got and email for it as well almost month ago. Today I got an email with the letter that congratulates me of getting international excellence scholarship. In the rankings list, I am still only under fee waivers.
