As the title says, my audio interface keeps popping and crackling. I have lowered my buffer length, connected the power to a power condenser, and tweaking the settings of my laptop so the power of the USB is always at max and constant. At this point im out of ideas and maybe its my computer not being able to handle the load (despite the computer being completely wiped with only FLstudio on it). I ask if anyone has had this issue and has come up with a solution. Thanks for the help!

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1065G7 CPU

12gb DDR4 ram

only has FLstudio and plugins downloaded on the computer with no other large files. I wiped it clean before i came here.

As the title says . I want to buy the universal audio apollo solo but the thing that holds me back is : will i be able to monitor my voice without having the autotune realtime ? I have the autotune unlimited subscription , that includes autotune pro 11, autotune hybrid etc.

Hey so I’m new to the sub but been using UA for years. Apollo quad + uad2 satellite, plugins, Luna etc.

I’ve just downloaded paradise guitar studio and it’s pretty great. I’m using a Stratocaster. For some reason I can’t get any clean sounds out of any of the amps (solo or cab combo) unless I turn the volume knob down on my guitar. I’ve been playing with it a few hours looking for (what I’d think would be) an obvious solution that I’d missed. Anyone have any ideas for me? Also, if anyone has any tricks or tips they’ve picked up using it I’d love to hear any additional advice. Thanks a million!!!!

Been trying to pair an Astra to my phone, which it was paired to already btw. Impossible. I had the extra effects already installed... but they're gone for some reason. (which is why I'm trying to re-connect it to the App so I can restore them).

Can't connect to the Astra. Can't connect to Starlight. Can't connect through Bluetooth. Can't connect through USB-C cable.

Yes, I have forgotten the device and power cycled the pedal. Many times. Nothing.
Yes, the USB-C Cable is a data cable, not charge only.

Hey folks - I'm restoring an old Vista/PT8 setup and picked up a UAD-2 Satellite FireWire DUO + two QUADs.

Problem is, the installer I found was the PCle version, so Vista laptop and XP tower can't load the FireWire driver.

I'm looking for the Satellite-specific Windows installer from the UAD 6.x era (6.0-6.4). UA removed them from their site years ago.

If anyone has an old copy sitting on a backup drive, I'd be super grateful.

Just trying to get this “vintage” setup running again.

I've been trying to download LUNA following the online tutorials (I have UA connect and Ilock license manager and I created an account for both) but it won't work. It says that there is no license? I'm a bit confused an inexperienced so maybe the solution is actually very easy? I asked my teacher for help but he got stuck too.

Ich habe immer wieder das Problem, dass ich offenbar zu heiß aufnehme. Ich versuche so laut wie möglich aufzunehmen, einerseits um Rauschen aus dem Raum oder durch die Geräte möglichst niedrig zu halten und andererseits, um eine gewisse Sättigung durch die analog Emulation zu erhalten. Ich merke bem mischen später aber immer wieder, dass meine Kanäle clippen und ich offenbar zu heiß aufgenommen habe. Ich versuche die Durchschnittslautstärke bei neun und die maximale Lautstärke bei sechs einzuhalten.

Are product managers at UAD paying attention to what the people want? Or do they just smoke weed all day and make negligent decisions that make their customers, who pay exorbitant amounts of money, pissed and unhappy.

I love the Ampex but the UADx version was designed so poorly as it relates to the UAD version.

I'm looking at the UAF Enigmatic Overdrive specifically. But, I have always been a little disappointed in the amp sims, even UA's. I like the brian worx ones the best out of what I have played.

My question is, are the pedals any better than the sims you get in the software?

I recently bought Apollo Twin X USB for windows, bought a good 3.2 cable and since the first time pluging it in the input is just not working. I tried every single troubleshooting I could and I just wasnt able to fix it so I contacted the support and thats where I lost all the hope as the support was trying to just tell me something just so I shut the fuck up and didnt even try to help me instead they insulted me that I can reroute it somehow and degrade the sound a bit to make it work but they said Its fine for my discord usage!! Are we fucking deadass I didnt buy this 1000$ bullcrap to use it only in discord with shitty ass quality. Guys I have a good computer and I never even thought that this shit can happen with a 1000$ purchase I will have to sell it and buy a RME that I used to have that worked without problems. DONT SPEND A SINGLE CENT ON THEIR SHIT PRODUCTS

I tried everything, making a new account, reinstalling windows WebView 2, reinstalling UAD and ilok cleanly... The plugins are blurry.

But for some reason, in this DAW called reaper they work...? I've been trying everything the last 3 days. I even reinstalled windows. I tried everything i could but the plugin is still blurry.

I made a couple friends install the plugins, and they werent blurry. I don't know what to do anymore

Does anyone know if I should get an Apollo twin x duo or quad to run vocal fx (reverb, delay, little compression) and Antares autotune for live performances? Do I even need either of these models or would the older Apollo Twin also do the job safely? Thanks!

Hi, I've lost audio output, hoping someone could help me here! No one did in the UAD forum : (

I've been using iLoud Sub with my Apollo twin for several months without an issue, and today all of a sudden there's no audio. UAD console shows sound gage moving, audio works with the headphone out. Just no audio from the line output.

Audio works when I go into my Mac System Preferences/Sound/Sound Output and choose iLoud Sub instead of Universal Audio Thunderbolt. However this disables control of my apollo twin. I can't control the volume, mute, etc. so that's no good.

My Mac OS is Catalina 10.15, yes I understand it's not officially supported anymore, but I really don't want to update to a new OS -- a lot of things I work with is old, including myself. I've uninstalled and reinstalled UAD softwares, Connect and Console compatible for Catalina but has not fixed the situation.

My connection: Mac mini -> Apollo Twin -> stereo mixer -> iLoud Sub -> Speakers
Speakers are working fine with my CD/records: CD/record player -> stereo mixer -> iLoud Sub -> Speakers

It seems my Apollo Twin is suddenly not feeding audio out from the line-out into the stereo mixer. Stereo mixer's sound gauge is not moving.
I just don't understand why it was working a few days ago and now it's not, pretty frustrating.
Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks a bunch.

The Apollo Twin is pretty amazing, to make things clear from the get-go.

However, I had to dig out the Focusrite for now on my mission critical PC (Teams for court hearings is not an option), because I need to sit down and really try and understand this hardware, Windows 11, Thunderbolt, and third party software like VB-Matrix. I hooked it up to my slightly older, non-mission critical PC to make mistakes and hopefully finally grasp it.

My biggest headache is learning routing. I applaud those that understand that stuff. Somebody successfully set up VB-Matrix and even explained to me how it worked. It did not sink in, because I wanted to reroute something later. I was completely clueless. Still, even after the routing was successful at that time, I still dealt with crackling and the occasional drop out. Apparently, that is common with some third party drivers (ASIO and whatnot).

Sorry for the very long setup. For those on Windows machines, what did/do you use to route things? How did you get around Windows wonky driver situations? Do you even use third party routing software? I am very curious.
