Suspicious Pigeon Feeder

Suspicious Pigeon Feeder

I usually think best of people however something about this situation has felt off. For months now, the same woman in the same Toyota RAV4, on a weekly occurrence gets out of her vehicle for several blocks of Broadway and throws rice out to pigeons. Rice isn’t nutritional and there’s the old wives tail about it hurting their digestive system. It’s also hard to say if it’s laced with something.

She always has a driver in the Toyota because she’s getting out frequently on every block. What can be done about this or who should it be reported to? Her energy and the drivers seems very dark to me. Have there been high reports of dead pigeons or anything in the neighborhood? The cops don’t seem to care as they observed her doing it once but didn’t stop her.

Planet Fitness (Montrose) Update

I saw that they put up the main sign at the new Uptown Planet Fitness (909 W Montrose Ave). It looks like it’s almost completely furnished, there’s even drinks in the fridge already. From what I could see there are tons of treadmills/bikes on the first floor and weight lifting equipment in the upstairs area. I was going to get closer and take pictures inside but there were construction workers standing right by the front so I didn’t want to be creepily taking pictures of them 😅

I have no inside information but I wouldn’t be surprised if it opens by the end of the month!

Psych Recommendations

hello!

I recently relocated from MN to Uptown, and am in need of a new psych provider. Large health systems have said they are scheduling out to January. I have been on the same medication for 6 years and just need to continue that medication, looking for someone with appointments in the next few weeks!

Thanks

No parking tow zone

It’s been three weeks now since they’ve had these up. They had signs up they would be finished last week but updated to 8/21. I understand this is a requirement, but for the past three weeks I have walked my dogs everyday in the neighborhood and out of the three weeks I have seen work being done 4 or 5 days. And it would be just a few workers.

My question is why can’t Chicago organize adequate workers and a proper work flow where this can done promptly.

It’s 8/17 and I have walked around the neighborhood and have not seen not one worker.

To anyone that heard the screaming cries of a woman

Around 330pm by the Buttercup Park area, that was me and I thought I lost my cat. Thank you to the random strangers that help me look for her. Sorry to the random strangers who I freaked out and those that came out of their homes concerned for something greater.

She's my best bud of 13yrs. She's literally all that I have and to think she was gone forever was just....

I'm sure that was frightening to witness someone crash out as spectacularly as I did, but hope you understand.

CK pic for tax and her hiding behind the lamp. That's where she was the entire time.

ETA: Yep! She's always been strictly an indoor only cat her whole life. Landlord accidentally left my back door open for an unknown amount of time when doing a loud installation and when I couldn't find her inside in any of her hiding places, I could only image she ran outside instead of being a super ninja that blends into all surroundings.

Parking for a month

I have a car that I need somewhere to park for 5 weeks. It would be cheaper to take the hit on the street sweeper ticket than to use spot hero. Any tips for mid-term parking?
