I'm about to be a high school senior and I'm very lost on what I want to do after high school. I do want to go to college, but I have no idea where. I'm considering UTC though because I live a few hours away, and I want to be a little far from home but not too far. So the distance sounds good to me, but other than that, what is UTC like? Are the people nice there?
I built a site that transcribes Chattanooga's public scanner feeds and maps them live. It's free to browse the last 24 hours with no account, and it covers Downtown and Southside among other areas.
Standard caveat, it's AI transcription of scanner audio so it's unverified and occasionally wrong. Not a substitute for anything official.

i just wanted to start a thread for any incoming freshmen to ask questions about life at UTC! i’m a senior who has also lived in chattanooga my entire life. i’m a double major in the arts and sciences college, and my partner graduated from here a year ago with his BSEE.
i’d like to think i know a lot of the ins and outs of UTC and chatt as a whole, and wanted to see if i could ease anyone’s mind about their first year. i know i could have used it when i was a freshman, especially if you don’t want to make a whole post for a question. ask anything about anything, and anyone else feel free to answer as well :)
Hi guys! Incoming freshman here, I have a question about the reserved parking pass? If I buy one, do I get a designated spot? Like with a number on the ground? How does it work exactly? I would call but I missed out on the office hours earlier 💔
