Transcribes public scanner feeds, geocodes them, serves a live map, and provides an API. Started in Chattanooga, where I live, and now in a few metros.

Free tier is the map and a day of history. Pro is analytics, history, CSV export, keyword alerts, and Q&A. I've been aiming it at logistics, newsrooms, event security, and researchers, which is probably too many.

So which one would you chase, and is a Pro subscription even the right wedge, or should I just go straight at the API as a B2B product? Also, my first launch post got downvoted to zero for sounding like a bot, so feel free to pile on.

Ingests public safety radio streams, transcribes with faster-whisper on a GPU, has an LLM pull the incident type and location out of the transcript, geocodes it, and puts it on a live map about a minute behind the air. Started with Chattanooga because I live there.

Stuff I like about it: a time slider out to 72 hours with a heatmap, keyword push alerts so you get pinged when someone says "structure fire", and driving directions that route around recent incidents instead of straight through them.

Free tier is the map and about a day of history, no account. Pro adds analytics, longer history, CSV, an Ask Pulse Q&A that answers off the real counts instead of making things up, and API access.

There's a PII redaction pass before anything gets published, which took longer to get right than the transcription did.

Live incident map fed by transcribed scanner audio. The interesting problem is turning what a dispatcher says into a point. "1500 block of Market" is easy, cross streets are fine, but landmark references and anything with a direction of travel get messy fast. Then I have to dedupe the same call arriving on two overlapping feeds.

Where I want a reality check. Which of those verticals would you chase first, and is a prosumer subscription the right wedge or should I go straight B2B on the API? Roast away.

I developed a habit over the years of copying a given prompt after writing it before clicking enter, opening a new tab, or doing anything because I've developed that defensive behavior due to horribly designed UIs and functionalities over the years that have caused me to have to rewrite what I just wrote one too many times.

Recently while using claude code my entire sea of Cursor tabs all just shit themselves and the Claude Code extension window I was in subsequently did, too! I spent some time fixing the issue, just to come to find the conversation I was in didn't save the prompt. 300 billion dollar evaluation or something for this garbage extension that takes 15 years to open and can't invest in basic QOL?? Give me a break!

In reality, that should NEVER have been a habit I developed! These people make billions and can't spend the time to get the UI/UX or QOL right! It's perposterous!

Has anyone in this sub ever played Getting Over It with Bennet Foddy? It reminds me of that lol. Starting over is harder than starting up.
