Share your favorite highlight reels?

Basically, I'm in the process of converting some Valks-curious (Vi-curious?) basketball fans into just plain Valks fans. I want to send these people the best, most dynamic, most exciting, most "good basketball" highlight complications (or really, hype reels) I can find to get them that much closer to hooked. Yes, I have my own link collections in YT and Insta but they're just what I've managed to save from what I happened to see, I'm sure there are even better options I've missed.

Good citizens of r/valkyries, could you please share your favorite highlight reels or edits? I would prefer reels that are more punchy than the official highlights post-game. Videos can be focused on either team as a whole or a specific player. Share your best links and thank you in advance!

Veronica Burton has moved into a tie with A'ja for best RAPM (Regularized Adjusted Plus Minus).

This metric is one of the best ways we have of measuring a player's overall impact on helping their team win. Plus/Minus in interesting because in theory it accounts for everything that matters in winning, not just putting big numbers in box scores. For example: If someone doesn't rack up high numbers of steals/blocks because their defensive coverage keeps the ball out of the hands of their opponents' best players. However, it tends to skew things in ways where good players on bad teams get punished and bad players on good teams get rewarded. This version adjusts for teammates and opponents and its main weakness is small sample size, so this lumps in previous years where it can. VB has actually improved since last year (although I think that is mainly due to maintaining the big leap she made mid-season last year).

2026-07-04: Where Things Stand So Far

Here are the rankings after the 4th of July games.

I think teams 1 through 4 are a lock for the playoffs. Teams 5 through 12 are fighting for playoff spots.

The top three teams are interesting. Vegas has swept the Valkyries (3-0). The Lynx are close to sweeping Dallas (they lead 3-0 and have one more game). The Valkyries have swept Atlanta (3-0). However, the Aces are vulnerable, as they have lost multiple times to the Liberty and Dallas (by 30 points in one match). The Lynx will be scary once Phee and Dorka return.

Chicago has been unlucky with Rickea Jackson out for the season due to a torn ACL. Seattle and Connecticut are in full re-build -- no shame in that, and honestly they have very good, albeit young and raw, talent.

With regards to the Aces, I wonder if Becky Hammon simply knows Natalie Nakase so well that she can anticipate what Nakase is going to do in games? Nakase and the Valks have a lot of homework to do if they're going to be able to win against the Aces and/or the Lynx in the playoffs.

Special Ticket Item Giveaway

Hey all! Quick question (I tried doing some googling but couldn’t seem to find a clear answer lol). I have a handful of family members coming with to the upcoming Filipino Heritage Night and we all got our ticket through the Special Event tickets page on the Valkyries website. I know you only get the Filipino x Valkyries shirt if you get the special event tickets page and it isn’t a general stadium giveaway.

Does anyone know where in the stadium do you pickup the item? Do we have to be hella early or will there for sure be enough? Trying to figure out if we should drive or taking the ferry gives us enough time. Was there any fun Filipino themed instillations or things around the stadium when they did this last year?

Thanks friends and go Valks! Excited to go to the game with the fam, for most of our group it’ll be their first Valks game!

If Kaitlyn Chen gets called for a Tech again ("WTF?")

This was from the 2026 Preseason Game, when the ref initially said that Miela Sowah's bank shot didn't count.

Hopefully the Valks ask the League to rescind Chen's tech from today (2026-07-04).
