When did roommate assignments come out last year?
The housing guy said that he'd try to get them out to us before the end of july so im just wondering when previous class years got their assignments

I was looking at the calendar and noticed that we get a pretty big (almost 2 week) break in october along with a 5 day thanksgiving break.
I'm from the west coast and going home for every single break isn't really an option for me so I was wondering if most people go home for all of those breaks?
I'm not sure if I would go back during october break (longer) or thanksgiving break (more family to see but very short and would probably be 2 days of travel for only 3 days of family time).
When do most people tend to go back home/stay on campus? Is there stuff to do during the breaks for those who do choose to stay but dont have cars?
Ok so I’m going to Vassar by myself on plan. I’ll be arriving to JFK airport and I’m taking luggage’s with me. I tried to do uber from the airport to the college but the price is like $400 which I’m absolutely not doing😭 do y’all think I can survive by myself with public transportation carrying a big and small suitcase and a travel bag? Like I feel really cooked ngl I feel like imma get lost😬.
Can anyone recommend any easy first year writing seminars? I’m pre med and want a good gpa but writing essays is my weak spot, so are there any FWS that are basically a guaranteed easy A?
Basically the title. Any recommendations for which writing seminar might be most enjoyable for someone who hates reading?
Hey I’m looking for anyone who was/is pre-med but majored in something totally unrelated. Which pre-med classes did you take and when did you take them? And would I be able to skip any bio classes since I took AP Bio and AP Environmental Science? I’m really lost on which classes I should register for; I really wish we got our advisors sooner 😭
I got my billing today, and I noticed that the amount that is being asked of me to pay is an extra 3k, and when I went to the details, I noticed that they put student health insurance as a part of my bill. My parents and I cannot afford to pay such a price. It exceeds the amounts that Vassar expects of us to contribute to pay. I can't waive the insurance since I am a California resident and my health insurance is with Kaiser, and we have an HMO plan; that automatically makes me ineligible for a waiver. I don't know what to do, and I'm a bit worried because my parents cannot afford to pay that much. Should I call the financial aid office to ask if they can re-adjust my financial package so that it covers the health insurance fee, or do I call Gallagher?
I’m considering applying ED to Vassar College, but I’m not 100% sure yet. I’ve toured the school and I love the campus and what they seem to offer academics wise, but I want more details that I can’t get from a normal tour. I’d love to hear what you think stands out about the school! (the good and the bad)
I’m a rising high school senior thinking of applying ED to Vassar College. When I toured earlier this year I fell in love with the campus and the academics at the school, but I’m a little worried about its reputation as an extremely “woke” school. I’m looking at other liberal art schools, so that sort of environment isn’t a problem for me, but I’m a bit worried about making social connections if I happen to go there. I would love to hear peoples’ (preferably Vassar students opinions) on the school culture and anything else that you deem noteworthy, as I need to decide whether or not I use my ED on this school.
Are ottomans included in the “no upholstered furniture” rule?
If you have put your bed on the highest notch for storage underneath and you’re petite, if you don’t have an ottoman, what are you using? Or is this just a “yeet yourself onto the bed and hope for the best” situation?
Also, if you need your heating pad/electric blanket and large lithium battery for health/disability reasons, are you likely to get it approved?
