Help me decide my ED2 School!
I plan to major in Biology and minor in Philosophy
And I plan to apply for grad school/ PHD in the future.
I think the dorm environment is important for me
I am from Asia (POC), non-athlete, female, and do not like greek life.

Is GPA deflation common for undergraduate? Are there typical grade distributions or curves, and is there any limit on how many students can receive an A? Moreover how is the overall pre-med experience here.

I plan to pursue a pre-med track or a PhD for an academic career.
The pros I've heard about LACs over the years are their high faculty-to-student ratios, abundant opportunities to engage in research, and more instruction from professors.
However, my concern is whether LACs have fewer resources and a smaller research scale compared to private R1 universities, such as CWRU, Tufts, Emory, and so on. Sometimes, there are only a few professors in each department at LACs. Moreover, I've heard from students at private universities that they can easily find research opportunities as undergraduates. And the advantages of LACs that I mentioned above seem to apply to private R1 universities as well.

I am currently doing my college list. But I may need to eliminate one of them and choose the other three to add on the list. I plan to major in Biology and minor in a humanities subject, with the goal of eventually pursuing graduate school. （not the pre-med track)
My main priorities to consider are on-campus research opportunities, the education quality of Biology/Neuroscience, and other factors that would help me prepare for graduate school and eventually pursue a PhD.
And as for the social scene, I’m more of an introvert and a person of color, and I’m not really into Greek life.

Wondering how is the research opportunities on campus and the education quality of this subject. After looking through the school’s website and reading student reviews, I feel pretty positive about the humanities programs, but I’m still not as sure about the Biology/Neuroscience programs.

However, I’ve come across some reviews mentioning that some biology courses may not be very well organized, and that popular courses can be difficult to get into because of high demand.

As a high school student, I’m currently interested in Emory, UNC, and USC, and I’m hoping to pursue a PhD or Graduate school in the future (possibly in biology/neuroscience-related fields) (not in the pre-med route).
I have a few questions:
1. Which school provides better opportunities for undergraduates to get involved in research? How accessible are professors and research labs for undergraduate students who want to apply for grad school/ PHD?
2. Does it feel overly competitive, and is it difficult to maintain a strong GPA?
3. Are facilities like libraries, study spaces, and other academic resources usually accessible, or do they tend to be overcrowded?
4. I’m more of an introverted person and I’m not really interested in Greek life. What is the overall campus/social experience like? Is it easy to find communities and make friends outside of Greek life?
