Driving up from San Bernardino.
Does anyone know of the best antique and thrift shops on the way up to Ventura and/or inside Ventura?

Also, the best hotel? Something nice, relaxing, and walking distance to the water (~2 miles).

And a place to grab dinner with a girlfriend (like best friend). Ideally not Fish focused, like not a a seafood restaurant.

Caught wind of a conversation a group on boys were having near down town, heard them say the f slur, so i went over to them to talk about it. Told them how unacceptable that is and they should be ashamed, then they proceed to call me a sensitive r slur and that I need to grow some balls. Teach your kids to be respectful or someone else will.

Wtf is up with city police shutting down taco stands on the Ave? Tried to go to two of my regular spots tonight and both were getting closed down. Im relatively new to Ventura, is this something that happens regularly and they rebound 🙏???

My girlfriends purse was stolen at planet fitness yesterday, it has her wallet, keys, an exclusive pin from when she saw wicked, and a knife she got from her grandpa right before he passed. We can replace everything but the knife so it kinda sucks and I don’t the person who stole it will ever see this but if you do somehow ca we at least have that back?

The purse was in a locked locker, we spoke to the manager who reviewed the cameras and she didn’t find anything. The purse was a black coach bag

I have an elderly cat that I can see slipping/fading. She is getting thin but still eats a little. I've had so many cats and don't do annual exams or vax for her any longer. She has been to one vet a couple of times so we have a "chart". I am looking for alternatives to going to my regular vet because with the last cat I had to have put down, the charge was $400 for "end of life evaluation". That cat had an obvious oral tumor and the cancer had probably spread. I knew it was time, no doubt about it! When it's time for this one, I'm find with just euthanasia and no "evaluation". Suggestions for other vets ?

Does anyone know how to petition the county transit authority or if there's a petition already existing for more metrolink funding?

I have limited access to a car and so I normally would be relying on the Metrolink to get me to and from Union in LA, further connecting to the OC line to get to my end destination.

I was told by a Metrolink customer service rep to keep petitioning the county for more funding, but since I am new to the whole file a petition thing I wasn't sure if anyone may have intell regarding this.

Ok, so intervarsity has their booths on campus and the booth staffers are annoying, but the booths they run aren't my problem.

My problem is that their missionary teams keep coming into the library and bothering students who are studying or taking tests.

My English class had a written midterm in the library computer lab today and they showed up at my table to thump the bible, right smack dab in the middle of my midterm. I told them: we're taking a midterm. And they just ignored me and continued on with their obnoxious Christian sales pitch. I had to tell them two more times for them to finally get the message and leave. This is not ok.

I hope some Ventura community college staff or intervarsity staffers are on here because somebody needs to get these missionaries out of the Ventura college computer lab. Because its not just me, I've talked to other people and intervarsity's staffers are harassing everyone who comes to the computer lab to work, study, and test. Its a chronic problem and either intervarsity needs to stop, or Ventura college needs to stop them.

Intervarsity: have some fucking respect for the students working hard to better their lives.
