What are we using for hold?

It's a rainy day and my wet set from yesterday is already ruined just from the humidity. What actual currently available products are yall using? I've been trying different mousses just picked based on smell (Not Your Mother's, Mielle, Lottabody) and they are not working for me.

Newcomer with extremely thin hair

Hi, so I'm fairly new to vintage hair and dress and have a fixation mainly on the 1980s. And I'm looking for help with a bit of an issue I've ran into. I've been wanting to style my hair in the glam rock style and have been looking for tutorials. However I keep running into an issue. Every tutorial I come across is for people with much thicker hair then I have. Even fine hair tutorials have thicker hair then me. I struggle with hair loss due to medical issues, to the point where I have bald spots mainly as the back of my head and the top. Is there any hair styles I could do that this wouldn't effect? Or should I just style wigs? I kind of feel like a wig would be cheating in a way mainly becuse I do have hair. But again it's crazy thin. Any help and advice is appreciated.

Trust the process.

For those who wake up and their hair is a mess. Just pick up the brush. I don't wear a hairnet, I once did but it's uncomfortable and my hair looks way better without it. My sets can ladt up to 2 weeks if I'm careful so I really don't need it.

Do not mind the state of my phone btw.

What to ask for at the hairdresser's for vintage curls?

I want to go to their hairdressers and ask for rollers.

I really love the vintage look but I'm struggling to find an old school hairdresser who does shampoo and sets for elderly clients.

Is a shampoo and set the best option for achieving the vintage look?

I have medium to long fine hair and I want Hollywood waves like Veronica lake.

1920s/1930s hair assessories inspiration?

Im going to a 20s/30s/gatsby themed dance party. I have long hair down the middle of my back. I plan to put it in a bun and use a claw clip. I know its not excatly accurate. I want to get a claw clip that has the essence of the 20s or 30s hair assessories. Do I do pearls? Stones? Flowers?

I cannot wear my hair down as its ballroom/social/swing dances and I hate when my partner accidently yanks my hair when turning or hits my ponytail if its too low. I also dont want to have to fuss over my hair at the party. Less fussing = more dancing!

Im wearing a tea length satin dress that's reminiscences of 30s style dress. Im not going as a flapper.

Im debating on wearing a pearl necklace and bracelet, but not sure how much flapping around they will end up doing. But im def wearing a little pearl ring.
