Kitten adoption

We rescued this adorable kitten. We are unable to keep her. (4 cats 2 dogs)
She is super sweet and loves affection, cuddles and play time. No worms or any health issues so far.
We would love to get her into a loving home.
She's also done great with all of our other animals.

Cheapest Oil Change

Looking for any recommendations for a good, but cheap oil change in Visalia. It seems Oil Changers since switching to American Quick Lube has increased their prices and I do have a truck. I understand that prices have increased everywhere, but $100 or more is crazy. Looking for closer to $60 if possible. All recommendations welcome. Last time at Oil Changers only cost about $60 with coupon.

Hiring in Visalia

I know this has been posted on here a few times but just asking again if anyone knows any places ACTIVELY hiring/looking for help. I know the job market is garbage right but I’m really needing a second job. I’m sick of applying to ghost postings on indeed/LinkedIn and being told by the stores they aren’t hiring. I truly have tried just about everywhere I can think of. I have almost 8 years retail experience, 3.5 years as a manager, and a couple years restaurant experience. Thanks in advance.

Tire shop

I’m looking to buy 4 tires for two different cars at a great price . Any recommendations on shops that sell tires and install/balance them? I know there’s a lot of locally owned shops in town. I’d prefer to buy new tires but I’m not opposed to used tires in decent shape.

Is this your dog?

This dog was offered up on Facebook by a Jessica Diaz from Visalia, see last image form Facebook. Someone else picked up the dog but after two days returned it to Jessica. I have found this dog roaming in the streets. I brought her in and fed her, bathed her. She looked underfed and don’t know how long she has been out on the streets. I have no way of contacting her original owner but the person that home this dog for two days shared the Facebook photo of the owner. Do you know this person? I’m happy to take this dog if you don’t want it

UPDATE: owner doesn’t want it. She rehomed it 2 times and somehow the dog got out. I asked her for details of the dog. She said “she is no longer my dog” and didn’t provide me with details.

Best place to refill water jugs?

I'm looking for the cleanest tasting water to refill some 5 gallon jugs. I tried the Primo water refill station inside of Walmart on Mooney, but it tastes almost the same as tap water.

Journalist seeking sources Cristobal Guerrero / Jay H. Cults allegations at COS

Hi r/visalia,

My name is Martin Velasco-Ramos and I’m a journalist contributing to the Valley Voice Newspaper, a local county newspaper. I’m working on an investigative piece regarding the public allegations that have been made against Cristobal Guerrero, also known as Jay H. Cults, in connection with his roles as a writing center tutor and creative writing club president at College of the Sequoias.

If you have firsthand experience, information, or knowledge of how the college responded to any complaints regarding Guerrero, I’d like to hear from you. Also, if you have any information about him fleeing to Mexico or if he is still in Tulare County. Anonymity is available and your privacy will be protected.

You can DM me directly here or reach me at mrvelasco559@gmail.com

Thank you to everyone who has already come forward. Thank you for your courage. Your voice matters.

How is the Carrington/SJVC lvn program?

Hi, I am planning on doing the LVN program at SJVC. I am already a CNA. I wanted to ask about people's experiences doing the LVN program there. I am doing the program there, because ik "alot of people ask here why not do other programs that are cheaper?" its simply because I dont have the time waiting to do other programs, the other programs are cheaper BUT extremely more competitive. I cant even finish my pre-reqs for the RN program at COS because its that competitive there. I am being pushed back a semester because of how competitive it is and theres a good chance I'll be pushed back by a semester again.

I don't want to do all of that JUST for a chance to get in. Even the Visalia adult school LVN program is competitive because its cheaper. and I don't have a car or a license so I cant go to other nearby community Colleges to finish my pre-reqs.

Know a place where I could draw

I want to get out of my house and draw on my I pad. I just do not know where I can go I kind of do not want to go to Starbucks, Barnes and noble or the library. Is there any other social place that has a sitting area where I could hangout and draw?? If Starbucks or Barnes and Noble are the only places in visalia, then which Starbucks would you recommend? Thanks 😊
