Good morning,

Selling my excellent condition Viwoods AiPaper Reader.

I bought it, but ended up getting a Boox Palma 2 at the same time. Don't use the Viwoods.

Comes with box, SIM tool, original case that it ships with.
I also bought a case for BOOX 2 PRO with a really nice magnetic cover. The TPU case does not fit, but the cover does - I bought a case and added a magnetic magsafe ring and use the cover with it. Including all of that.
No USB-C cable (unless you really need one and then I'll drop in an extra I have)

Just got a new case for my Scribe (2025, BW), to match what I had gotten for my Viwoods AIPaper Reader. It sells for about USD15 on Lazada, but got it on sale for a bit under USD10 a week ago. It’s lighter and just a bit flimsier than the Moko folio I had gotten from Amazon, but it also gives the Scribe a slimmer profile. It uses magnets to keep the Scribe in place, and also doubles as a stand for reading the Scribe in landscape mode. Just thought I’d post it here. for people looking for case options for the Scribe.

Here is my Viwoods AiPaper Reader Color - I absolutely love it!

I was originally looking for a pocket-sized e-reader to take everywhere as a companion to my Kobo Aura H2O. But the Viwoods ended up taking over completely, and my Kobo is now sitting in a drawer!

It feels so lightweight and great in the hand, and having physical buttons for page turns is a huge plus. Having Android is a game-changer, KOReader is so customizable, and I love being able to download my ebooks directly from Anna's.

The built-in Al features are actually super handy too, even though I'm still trying to figure out if or how I can run prompts directly on the book text I'm reading!

Shoutout to Viwoods!

This week the eraser on my W1 stylus finally broke after almost two years of drops and rough use. I opened it out of curiosity and found a fully functional long‑lasting nib hidden inside the eraser. I was genuinely surprised by how practical this little design choice is. 😊

Sharing this in case it helps anyone who might need an extra nib and doesn’t mind sacrificing the eraser to get it.

*** Edit: I know it is not a spare nib. May be not a good description on the title.

I’ve been comparing transcription using the same interview, and the results were pretty interesting:

Otter (iPad mini 7): clearly the best overall

iFLYTEK AINOTE Air 2: live transcription was decent, and re-transcription after recording was noticeably better

Goodnotes (iPad mini 7): missed so much of the conversation that I found it basically unusable for transcription

Now I’m really curious where the AiPaper Mini would land.

Would anyone with an AiPaper Mini be willing to play the first 3 minutes of this video and share the raw transcript?

I just got my Ai Paper Mini less than 2-3 weeks ago and I love this thing, I have really been enjoying it. My heart sank when I saw the screen like this when I pulled out of my bag.

It still works (I can press things) but the screen is frozen in a big spots. I’ve been taking good care of it and keep it in the case and making sure it lays flat. I’ve tried to restart it but it still stays frozen. What do I do?

V3.15.6 Beta is rolling out now, and with it, Viwoods Cloud is officially live. This is the update many of you have been waiting for — cross-device sync for your notes, meetings, knowledge base, memos, and daily planning.

Before we get into what's new, we want to address something important that a few beta testers have already flagged.

⚠️ Important: Account-based data isolation & why some files may appear missing

Starting with this version, your device data is now securely tied to the account you're signed in with. This is a fundamental change to how files are stored and organized under the hood. It means:

• Data from different accounts is strictly separated.
• If you sign out and sign back in with a different account, you won't see the previous account's files.

If you've updated and some of your files seem missing — especially in Learning — please try this:

1. Sign out of your account on the device.
2. Sign back in.
3. When prompted on the login screen, choose "Migrate Now".

This should restore access to your existing files under the new account-bound structure.

What's new in V3.15.6 (the highlights)

• Viwoods Cloud — automatic sync for Paper, Meeting, Knowledge Base, Memo, and Daily. Toggle sync per app, 10 GB free storage included.
• Unified Notes Password — Paper and Meeting now share one password, managed under Settings > Security Settings.
• Paper improvements — duplicate entire notebooks, move pages between notebooks, import PDFs to specific folders.
• Memo overhaul — multi-page memos, circle-to-To-Do, new backgrounds, list view, and handwriting-recognized filenames.
• File management — import from local storage or third-party cloud into any Paper folder.
• Daily To-Do fix — resolved an issue where To-Do content could be lost during export or sync.

Viwoods Cloud — your notes, in sync. More to come. ☁️

Today I received the long-awaited update that syncs the Viwoods Aipaper with the Mini. It works perfectly across Paper, Meeting, and Knowledge Base: everything that was on one device is now on the other, and folders have been duplicated correctly.

Unfortunately, every book, every folder, and every note I had in Learning on both devices was completely erased. My synced Google Drive still has the folder structure I created, but empty except for my notes (which in theory I might be able to import back in to Learning, but which will not sync - I suppose because the books they were attached to no longer exist.)

I had hundreds of books and articles on both devices that are now gone. I still have these books backed up elsewhere, so I can reimport them and recreate my file structure, but it will entail work that I did not anticipate. "Cloud sync for Learning is being optimized and is scheduled for the official release:" this seems to be an understatement.

I suppose this will teach me not to sign up as a Beta tester. Viwoods, thank you for the sync (which is genuinely good) and for your great products. Any suggestions about this glitch?

This is a continuation of feedback regarding firmware update Beta 3.15.6, with some organizational context. 

 

Personal Knowledge Management on the Viwoods Platform 

I have been looking forward to this sync because, among other reasons, it will allow me to unify my organizational structure. As Viwoods' functionality has improved, I have developed a PARA-style workflow (see Tiago Forte) imposed on a folder system:

*   Projects are in Daily, using To-Do, Notes, and associating files.

*   Areas are in Paper, Meetings, and Learning, organized thematically into folders and subfolders as appropriate.

*   Resources are in Knowledge Base. I have been attempting to use Knowledge Base as I understand Viwoods to have intended: a place for collecting various bits of information from many sources that are of interest or relevance to me.

*   Archives are in Google Drive and other backups.

This setup works pretty well for me, although I am looking forward to universalized tools and hyperlink capability in order to be able to connect ideas more organically.

Questions and Issues with the Beta update

The latest issue with the Beta update is that I cannot sync anymore, because when I do so, I get a message saying that have used up all my cloud space. Essentially, I have a catch-22 situation: I cannot sync unless I free cloud storage, but I have no way of freeing cloud storage. I cannot find any way to delete anything directly on the webpage https://cloud.viwoods.com/, while if I delete files on my device the deletion (and subsequent freeing of memory) is not reflected on the cloud - because I cannot sync with the cloud because the storage is full(!)

A closer examination revealed that almost all my cloud space was being taken up by Knowledge Base (over 8gb.) I do not understand why it takes up so much memory - I have a fair number of files, but not an absurd amount. I assume that the format in which files are saved in Knowledge Base is resource-greedy. Viwoods, is there a way for the files in Knowledge base to be compressed when they are saved to the cloud? I do not want to have to exclude Knowledge Base from syncing. More pertinently, how can I delete files from the cloud and get out of this cycle so that my devices will sync again? 

This problem raises the concern that when Learning is added to cloud sync, will it fill up and freeze the cloud if I have more than 10gb of books (which I do.) If I can't sync if I have more than 10gb of files in the native apps, the 128 gb storage on the device loses much of its utility.

Proposed Solutions (to be taken with a grain of salt: I am not a programmer and do not know what is technically feasible on the platform.) 

*   Perhaps the Viwoods cloud could temporarily go over 10 gb for 24 hours like with Viwoods transfer.

*   Or perhaps there could be unlimited size sync if both devices are syncing simultaneously.

*   Or perhaps we could have Bluetooth sync.

*   Above all, I very strongly hope that Viwoods does not try to resolve this problem by offering extra cloud space with a subscription.
