Shapes in paper

It might sound silly, but I can never draw a perfect square, so when I hold down and the shape appears it's never perfect. It would be nice to have preset shapes that you can just place

Loving the Mark + Outline combo for my daily notes on the AiPaper.

Just wanted to share a quick snap of my current daily workflow inside the Daily App on my AiPaper. I used to be the type of person who writes pages and pages of notes, only to completely lose track of the most important action items later.

But lately, I’ve been experimenting with combining the Outline and Mark features, and it has completely streamlined how I organize my day. Here’s how I use them:

Outline: At the top of my daily note, I always give the page a specific theme using the Outline tool. It instantly highlights the main topic of the day and automatically populates the document’s global table of contents. No more endless scrolling through months of notes just to find a specific day's meeting.

Mark: When I'm writing and a critical task or a random flash of inspiration pops up, I just circle the handwritten text and hit the flag icon. The best part? Aside from letting me jump right back to that exact page later, it compiles everything into the Mark Overview tab. I can see a beautifully organized list of all my key thoughts and action items across my notes at a single glance, without flipping a single page.

By doing this, my handwritten notes are no longer just static ink on a screen. A brilliant update, thank you Viwoods!

47 Apps?

Hi there

I'm trying REALLY hard to love this device. I already am obsessed with the IDEA of it, but I'm not quite getting the hang of using it. I tried downloading a document on the email app and since it's in docx format I don't have a way to view it without going on my computer and converting it to a PDF. Not a dealbreaker, but a bit of an annoyance. When I went on this forum to look up good apps, one that was suggested was Simplenote but when I went on the App Store (I'm really not an android user, sorry!), I only have 47 apps to choose from. Is this correct? I don't see a lot of the apps that are recommended, do I need to download them on my computer (I have only a MacBook) and get them to my tablet? I have a lot of reasons to like this device, not just the 100 sudoku games I've been playing 🤣 but if I can't figure out the apps and file system (a bit of a terror so far), I'm just not sure I'll be keeping it. Where are the rest of the apps kept if not the Play Store? Should I look elsewhere?

I have already used one tip in less than a week because I write too hard, so I'm trying to write lighter and I also am going to get the ceramic tip stylus. I hope this will actually be a tablet that I can use for my multiple purposes since I've been obsessing over which one to buy for at least a year and finally pulled the trigger!!!

Thanks so much for your help!!!

UPDATE: Oh my god what an idiot I am 😆 I installed the apps but then didn't go into the PLAY STORE to see what else there is 🙄 Okay I'm going to look around more. IGNORE ME 🤣

Viwoods AI Paper with Viwoods C1 Ceramic Stylus

Hi,

I am trying the Viwoods AI Paper with the Viwoods C1 Ceramic Stylus.

The writing feel is good but I feel the tip of the pen touching the screen like if it was a needle and I am afraid the damage the screen.

Is Viwoods C1 Ceramic Stylus usable with the Viwoods AI Paper?

Does the Viwoods AI Paper comes with a built-in, papel feel writing film, or should I get a writing film and install it in the tablet?

Notebook template recommendations.

I'm looking for different templates for the device.

Is there a place specific to Viwoods where we can purchase templates? Where do you go?

Is anyone using a pdf with clickable links? I was on an ipad using goodnotea. But, I'm liking this better. How well does this device handle those?

Ghosting only when reading darker manga

Hi there, am I the only one experimenting ghosting on Viwoods AI Paper Mini ?

When a page is dark, I still see some ghosting even on Best display with auto ghosting removal enabled.

It disappear on manual refreshing from the top left slide down gesture. Couldn't it be automated ?

I don't experience any ghosting on white pages, the auto ghosting removal already works great.

Pictures :

  • 2 : Ghosting seen
  • 3 : Ghosting gone after refresh

AiPaper Reader reboots?

I bought mine back at the end of February - I have been a Kindle user for years, but wanted to up my quantity of reading and thought the best way would be to have a device that I'd always have on me. The Reader has definitely filled that for me, and I've flown through books as I've been able to just read now more comfortably just about everywhere, but also in spare moments all the time. I've also had a Remarkable and now a Pro, so I'm totally bought into e-ink and dedicated devices.

My only issue with my AiPaper Reader has been constant reboots - sometimes when my battery is around 15% or lower, the device will just randomly reboot in the middle of reading with KoReader. I've got no apps running, wifi and bt off, airplane mode on, and never use AI. I reset the device, and no help there. I also recently got on the beta train, and trying to get it updated to the new OS was a multi-hour process of constant reboots as well - at some points it looked like the firmware had completely crashed.

Anyone else having any issues like this? I've never had an Android device that actually just restarts itself randomly - this isn't apps crapping out, it's the whole thing hanging then rebooting itself.

New AI paper login issues

I just got my new Viwoods AI paper today and am having tons of issues with logging into apps that I’ve downloaded from the Google play store. The Kobo app that came installed on the device is stuck in a “check here to verify that you are human” loop. And then I can’t log into Reddit and am receiving a “incorrect login info” message despite verifying that my login info is correct. Has anyone else had these issues with logging in across multiple apps? It’s so frustrating to have so many problems on day 1.

Screen protector

Does anyone use a screen protector on their reader? If so, what do you use?

If not, do you have a flip case? Or is the screen hard to scratch in case you accidentally put it somewhere where it might get scratchz

Ghost removal for the Reader

I recently purchased an AiPaper Reader.

Is there any way to make the Auto Ghost Removal feature more aggressive than what the toggle in the drop-down menu seems to do?

I know I can swipe top-left to manually refresh the screen or assign the AI button to do the same, but I feel that in some reading apps (Kobo, PocketBook, and Readest), the automatic ghost removal could be more reliable or trigger more frequently.

New User Qs

What is the difference between tasks vs to dos? Also, is there any benefit I might be missing to using their email app vs Gmail. Are there any resources or blogs of theirs you’d recommend on getting my workflow going? If I create a paper for each client I have is there a way to still use quick notes and then have them attached in some way. In paper is there a benefit to using the premade folders (analyzing, thinking, etc…) and will those attach to papers I created for each client. Should I use one ongoing paper for each? Also, I am not getting the benefit of AI yet. I figured out notes on PDFs in learning, but feel like I don’t get where else the AI adds to my workflow. Thanks!

InkOS + KoReader (w/ bookshelf plugin)

I just wanted to share my screen! I finally figured out how to set up my Viwoods Reader little by little. Really enjoying this device and the convenience of it.

Added a few pics of what my koreader looks like with the bookshelf plugin.

I am currently using it mainly to read.

Anyways, what app do you all suggest to unzip? I’m currently using Google files but I have to go back and forth between Gfiles and Viwoods files. Is there a way to unzip from viwoods files?

Gboard "write in text fields" option missing

Hello,

Was recently testing the TCL Note A1 and it has Gboard as the default keyboard. It allows the stylus to use handwriting anywhere on the screen to fill in any text input under the option "write in text fields". Downloading gboard onto the Viwoods AiPaper, the option simply does not exist. Has anyone had any luck with this?

Cloud syncing between devices

I read about cloud syncing between paper and mini and I have both. But am I to understand that somehow I can make my mini grab all the files and PDFs and notes from Google drive that my paper synced there and vice versa? I mean, is it automatic?

Hoopla works!

I just wanted to share that I got hoopla to work for those that use it.

You have to turn on the rotation of the device for the pop up to show for you to log in. That way it goes to landscape, the pop up for the log in should show up.
