I have been looking for a Vz-58 for over 6 years now and I finally found one that wasn’t gunbroker pricing and I got enough mags to last a life time. Now only thing I need to do is get the ammo to fill them all lmao.
Is the fixed stock that much more comfortable compared to the folder? The butt if the stocks seem similar in size and profile.
What is everyone’s experience with failed upper handguards? I’m leaning towards the Bonesteel since it’s in stock. Thanks!
I’ve almost finished building my VZ58 and would appreciate some advice or links to different parts that might go well with it.
It has an original PBS-1 silencer without an adapter. OKP-7 sight, Surfire flashlight.
I’ve also adapted a wooden kit for the compact model; if you’re interested, I’ll send you a photo.
I'm still waiting for an original black strap, and maybe the metal handguard from CSA—I haven't made up my mind about that one yet.
Finally join the club and got a D-Technik VZ58. Absolutely love the beaver barf. Can’t wait to shoot this thing.
Got myself a D’Technik VZ58… cannot for the life of me get the recoil spring to come out of the bolt carrier. Is there a trick to pulling it out that I’m missing? All the disassembly videos I’ve watched it seems to come right out.

I have a vz58 with the wire folder and love everything about it. I just picked up an rs regulate mount to put an rds on the rifle. I had seen on a YouTube video that the rs regulate was the only side rail that would work with the factory sling loop. I haven’t been able to get it on and I really like the sling loop location. If I cut it off I won’t be able to install a sling. Anyone else run into this? What did you end up doing?
Just got another vz. I opted for the folder this time around. I knew it wouldn’t be what you call comfortable…anyways is the jmac ss-8 substantially more comfortable? Any help is appreciated!
