I have two sets of Speedplay Power and just today they are flagging up a new firmware update as available - but the last update documented on the website is from April 2025.
Does anyone know what this does and if it has any issues?

I’m fairly new to cycling and I’m looking at getting a bike computer mainly for navigation. I’m currently considering the Wahoo ROAM 3, but I’m unsure how well it handles gravel and off-road routes.
For those who use the ROAM 3:
● How good is the navigation when riding gravel tracks, bridleways, towpaths and other off-road routes?
● Does it handle Komoot routes well when they include a mixture of road and off-road sections?
● Are the maps detailed enough to confidently follow off-road trails?
● Is the ROAM 3 primarily aimed at road cycling, or would you consider it a good all-rounder for gravel?
My main priority is reliable navigation, rather than training metrics or performance data. I’ll mainly be riding a gravel bike on a mixture of roads, canals/towpaths, gravel tracks and some off-road routes.
Would you recommend the ROAM 3 for this type of riding?
Hi, does anybody have experience with the Wahoo Elemnt Ace and this mount from Canyon?
I’m interested in buying this bike computer but I don’t want to change this elegant mount.

I don't know if you can see it correctly in the picture, but somehow I can't manage that the legs are parallel to each other. The front has a slight inclination on the right towards the back leg. I'm really not talented when it comes to screws, did I do something wrong? Or can I ignore this?
**What I want:**
Single quick-press of the RIGHT bonus button = ring the Wahoo bell. That's it.

Ich habe ein hartnäckiges Problem mit meinem Wahoo Bolt 3. Während Fahrten verliert das Gerät wiederholt das GPS-Signal und folglich wird die Geschwindigkeit für Streckenabschnitte nicht mehr angezeigt. Das ist kein einmaliger Fehler, es passiert mehrmals pro Fahrt, in offenem Gelände ohne Baumdeckung oder hohe Gebäude in der Nähe.
Fehlerbehebung bereits durchgeführt:
- Vollständiger Werksreset durchgeführt.
- Neueste Firmware installiert (über die Wahoo-App geprüft, aktuell auf dem neuesten Stand).
- Neueste Version der Begleit-App ebenfalls installiert.
Trotzdem besteht das Problem bei mehreren Fahrten und an verschiedenen Orten, daher glaube ich nicht, dass es sich um eine einmalige Umgebungsfluktuation handelt.
Ist jemandem das schon mal mit dem Bolt 3 passiert? Gibt es bekannte Lösungen, Workarounds oder ist das ein Hardwareproblem, das einen Garantieanspruch erfordert? Mich würde interessieren, ob das ein weit verbreiteter Firmware-Bug ist oder spezifisch für bestimmte Geräte.

Has anyone else noticed their ROAM 3 significantly underreporting total ascent?
On a recent 34.66-mile ride, I recorded simultaneously with my ROAM 3 and the Cadence iPhone cycling app:
Wahoo ROAM 3: 1,211 ft
Cadence: 1,514 ft
The interesting part is what happens when the Wahoo activity is uploaded elsewhere:
Wahoo app: 1,211 ft
Strava direct from Wahoo: 1,211 ft
RideWithGPS from the same Wahoo activity: 1,515 ft
Strava “Correct Elevation”: 1,379 ft
I initially suspected the ROAM’s barometric altimeter, but the underlying elevation data doesn’t appear to be the problem. I compared the altitude samples from the original FIT file copied directly from the ROAM with the independently recorded Cadence data. The two elevation profiles track extremely closely (correlation ~0.999).
The Wahoo FIT file itself contains enough elevation change to calculate roughly 1,500 ft of ascent with moderate filtering, yet the ROAM stores Total Ascent as only 369 m / 1,211 ft.
That makes me suspect the ROAM 3’s Total Ascent algorithm is filtering out legitimate smaller/gradual climbs on rolling terrain rather than the barometric altimeter actually missing the elevation changes.
I’ve submitted the data and original FIT file to Wahoo Support.
Has anyone with a ROAM 3 compared Total Ascent with a Garmin, Karoo, RideWithGPS, or another simultaneous recording? I’m particularly interested in rides with lots of smaller rollers rather than one or two long sustained climbs.
I’m hoping somebody can shed some light on a strange behaviour I’m seeing with my Live Track feature.
When I leave for a ride it automatically emails a link to my partner so they can see where I am and if I am safe. I typically ride with a group and we stop for a cafe stop mid-ride. I’ve always kept the activity recording and I hit LAP while at the Cafe stop and LAP again when resuming the ride.
It seems that the tracking stops after the cafe stop. This particular example is in an area with good cell coverage so it’s not a connectivity issue.
I’ve included the Element App History activity and then the Live Tracker screenshot.
Is this a known issue?
Is there a setting or solution for this?
I can’t seem to permanently mute my Wahoo BOLT v3, and the beeping sound is driving me nuts.
I figured out that you can mute the sounds directly on the device (rather than through the app), but the setting doesn’t seem to be saved when the device is turned off and back on.
Am I missing something here? Is there a way to permanently disable the beeping?

Can anyone speak to Wahoo’s SYSTM app compared to other workout/training apps? I’m currently using TrainerRoad. I prioritize training plans over the game style from Zwift.
I got this wahoo kickr core 2 about 2 weeks ago and am wondering why its making this loud grinding sound. I am using a Trek Domane AL5 Gen 4 and 12 speed shimano 105 R7101. I am using the 142mm spacer for the thru axel. This seems to sound worse on the lower gears. Is this normal?
Hey everyone, I was just wondering if this is how the wahoo Kickr core 2 should sound? I’m just a student who spent a ton on it and I don’t want it to be damaging my bike or anything. It sounds really loud but I’m not sure what I’ve done wrong.

Idk if this is the right subreddit but I am really lost. I'm currently on tour for over a week now. I borrowed this 10 years old wahoo Model:WFCC1. Yesterday the maps dissapeared. The directional arrows would still show so I could still load routes and get to my checkpoints, but now after another day I got what you can see in the vid. When pushing the on button, all it does is give quick beep and show me those Lights. I'm an least 450km away from my goal, idk how to get there without it...
