Why 4'x6'?

I am curious why all GW games (and a bunch of other tabletop wargames) use 4'x6' as a default table size. Is there some kind of UK table standard? I remember we had to push together tables in school and used custom made mdf boards later, as no kitchen table was large enough. Warmaster is even worse, as here we need 80cm between the deployment zones, and most of our dining tables are 80 to 90cm on the short edge. Does somebody know why?

Empire Crossbowmen

Finished my first two units from my empire starter box. These were a little tricky to paint but eventually I got the hang of painting all the details the right things. Very complicated designs though for units this small.

So... I tried a new scheme.

I just wanted some desert lizards. I know they canonically don't live in deserts, they do live near some, but not inside. I just liked the idea, and wanted to hear a general opinion.

Looking for terrain

A local player had these cool
Buildings he got for warmaster. Does anyone know where they came from? I would love to be able to print some!

Finally made a start on these mainly as an excuse to paint the character pack! Still a few more units to add as yet but I’m not planning on huge army

Found a gem!

Found this sealed Warmaster Undead Horde Army Pack in a huge wargaming haul. Looking to shift it eventually but absolutely no idea on value. Looks fresh from the factory!

I have wanted in ever since I stumbled on this image.

I'm not crazy this game was real but trying to find anything when using Warmaster just brings Horus Heresy or 40k. I only found this sub because of a cross post. Where is the best place or terms to search so I can find stuff for this product?!
