Anyone here

So we are a bong couple from Pune settled in wayanad and just completed 3 years. This time too we are heading to Pune for Durga Pujo and Kali Pujo. Just wanted to do a check if we have bongs around in Wayanad, it would be interesting to check the viability of settling up bongo samiti here. Any bongs give me a holler.

I’m travelling solo and have reached the stage of life where I’d rather have an unexpectedly good conversation than tick another tourist attraction off a list.
Independent, curious, Bengali, and a corporate professional based in Bangalore. More comfortable discussing books, bad decisions, politics, murder mysteries and life at 2am than making polite small talk.

Hello everyone, sharing a few tips from my personal experience in Wayanad. Hope this helps!

1. Every tourist spot in Wayanad has a daily cap on visitor entries. While this isn't usually an issue on weekdays, slots fill up quickly over the weekends.

2. Most places offer online ticket booking. Book ahead of time to avoid the rush.

3. You can rent two- or four-wheelers, but availability drops significantly on weekends. Alternatively, you can hire a cab or auto for the entire day to tour the popular attractions.

4. Hiring a cab or auto with a driver can be expensive, so plan accordingly and split the cost with a group if possible.

5. For Chembra Peak, you can book tickets online. If online slots are sold out, you can arrive early (4:00–5:00 AM) to wait in line for offline tickets. FYI, the entry fee is ₹800 per person.

6. If you want a relaxed trip and only plan to explore a couple of places, I recommend staying at Zostel Wayanad Plus. It is located at the top of a mountain and has a great atmosphere. The only drawbacks are that it is quite remote and traveling there after dark can be unsafe.

7. Some attractions require you to pay extra for jeep transport, as private vehicles can't go. Some of them are - Glass Bridge, Glass Tower, and En Ooru Heritage Village. Keep in mind that the jeep fare is entirely separate from the entry ticket.

8. If you are planning to go to Adventure Park, you will have many options available.
