Disappointing approach road to Coffee County Resort, Wayanad

The approach to Coffee County Resort, Wayanad was honestly very disappointing. For about 1–2 km, the road leading to the resort is in terrible condition. I had specifically asked beforehand whether a low ground clearance car could manage, and they assured me it would be fine. Unfortunately, that turned out not to be true.

I drove there in a Baleno, and the car was constantly at risk of scraping the bottom. On top of that, the sides of the car got scratched by overgrown coffee plants along the road. To make matters worse, only a very narrow stretch of the road is actually tarred—barely wide enough for a scooter. The rest is full of potholes, which made the drive extremely stressful and difficult.

That said, once we finally reached the resort, the service was okay and I don’t have any complaints on that front. But the approach road is a major issue and definitely something future visitors should be aware of, as it impacts the overall experience.

Visiting Wayanad for 2N, 3days. Need help getting around.

Hi guys, I will be visiting Wayanad at the end of May for 2N and 3 days. I have an itinerary for those days, but i need help in what way i can get around after reaching wayanad. We are a group of 3 ppl.

Based on below itinerary, is it better to take a cab or public transport? if public transport is suitable, which ones are better? autos/private buses? We are going to book our stay in Kalpetta, as per my research it is in the middle of Wayanad, geographical and it is a good way to get around and back, since our drop off and pick up point will be in Kalpetta. Pls lmk if there are any safe and good stays in Kalpetta that are near to the old bus stand.

We skipped chembra peak, as ive heard it takes half a day to go there and trek and come down? If there is anyway we can rearrange the below itinerary to fit this it would be greatt.

DAY 1:

lakkidi view point
pookode lake
en ooru
phantom rock

DAY 2:

edakkala caves
soochipura waterfall
900 kandi bridge
Wayanad tea museum

DAY 3:

Banasura sagar dam
kuruva island
kurumbalakota view point
kalpetta stay
