Honest opinions on my wedding ring stack

Honest opinions on my wedding ring stack

Just got married and I love my rings, but I’m curious what people think objectively! 😂

Two yellow-gold bands - one plain and one with a small diamond. Do they work together? Timeless or dated?

Give me the good, bad, and ugly, I genuinely want honest opinions!

I'm proposing soon. I don't understand diamonds. Local jewelers say $2,500 isn't enoug

I'm proposing to my girlfriend and I love her to the moon and back. So, I want to get this right…

I went to local jewelry stores. I told them my budget is around $2,500

They showed me what they had. Tiny stones with some low clarity. And I wanna say that everything looked dull. One salesperson said "this is what $2,500 gets you."

I felt hopeless. I don't know anything about diamonds. I don't know what's a good deal. I don't know what to look for.

Then I found Ritani and they have a custom ring builder. I played with it and I picked a lab-grown diamond, and the I chose a setting. The stone looked bigger online and it says that the clarity is higher higher. Way better than anything I saw in stores

It felt too good to be true and I started comparing. For the same price, I could get a ring that looks twice as nice

But I'm panicking. What if it's not real? What if the quality is bad? What if I mess up and she hates it?

I'm scared. I don't want to make a mistake. Any advice would be huge coz I'm proposing soon and I can't mess this up

People ask why my ring is so “boring” or small… it’s what I liked?

I’ve never been the biggest jewelry girlie. I didn’t get much of a say in my engagement ring because it was my late grandmother’s, given to me as a gift for my 26th birthday by my aunt who originally inherited it (she never got married so gave it to me). Not pictured but it’s beautiful. Just not very. Me. lol
I am comfort over style all day every day and having a big honkin diamond on my finger during my engagement was… kind of annoying sometimes. It got in the way during most tasks I did.
So I knew I’d want something simpler for a wedding band. And I had my heart SET on black and white alternating diamonds (or moissanite, I’m not picky).
I found this one on Etsy that was EXACTLY what I was looking for. After the wedding I retired grandma’s ring from everyday use (IT STILL SITS SAFELY IN ITS BOX) and I just wear my wedding band because it is just more comfortable for me.
And yet I’ve had people stop me to ask why I don’t have a big honkin diamond and why I went with something so simple and thin and BORING.
And my answer is always… well cause I like it and it’s comfortable and it’s my style. Like.
Is that not allowed? lol
I love my ring and I will fight anyone who says it’s bad.

He designed it!

We’ve been engaged for a few months now, but I’m not over it!!
I didn’t tell him a shape or size, i told him i would be happy with a band, and he did all that. I’m so incredibly lucky

What do you think?

I got my wedding band from the jewelers today and was wondering what you all think of my band with my engagement ring. Also those with white gold rings, is it worth getting it replated for the wedding?

What style wedding band?

I love my engagement ring, 3mm band, low set stone so another straight ring doesn’t sit flushed. I don’t know what it is that ai cannot find a wedding band I like to match my ring. I just wear an eternity ring right now but I don’t love it. Can I see examples of other ring sets with a slightly thicker engagement ring band!?

Rose gold

hi, does this 4mm rose gold band look good with my skin tone?

also, does 4mm seem too narrow for me (M)?

Just came to post my step-mothers stackup because I've never seen anything like it. Her wedding band covers her engagement band entirely like a shield!

We got married!

I am so happy with our set. It was custom made for us by a family member.

At the design stage it turned out that we wanted completely different things, so we decided to have mismatched bands, only with sapphires and engravings inside being common features. I am so happy that both of us have rings that fit our respective aesthetics - lily of the valley for me and dragon scale for my husband.

I also included a picture with my engagement ring. It seems that pink gemstones are my thing ;)

Fiancée wants a 2-carat halo ring. My budget is $2,000

As you can guess I'm planning to propose and my girlfriend has been dropping hints for months. The thing is that she wants a 2 carat halo ring with diamonds. She kinda loves lots of sparkle

I've been saving. But I'm not rich and my budget is just $2,000. Maybe a little more if I stretch…

Looked at local jewelry stores and they laughed at me. One salesperson literally said something like my engagement is "not happening" when I told him my budget. Another tried to sell me a 0.5-carat for $3,000 and it was tiny. Not what she wants…

Then I found Ritani with their lab grown diamonds. 2 halo engagement rings and they’re beautiful. Well within my budget. I actually found a few options for under $2,000

It looks perfect. I’d say too perfect…

I'm skeptical. What's the catch? Is the diamond actually good quality? Will the setting fall apart? Will she love it or notice it's not the same as a natural diamond?

I've read good things about lab-grown diamonds. They're real diamonds. Chemically identical. But cheaper. It makes sense. But I'm still scared…

Well I need a reality check before I click buy. I don't want to mess this up. She deserves something beautiful. I just want to give it to her

10 Years Later

Just wanted to share my ring journey, 10 years in the making! My husband proposed with a ring he designed with a local jeweler (first picture). He told the jeweler I was ‘industrious’ and ‘minimalist’. He was warned against an Opal, but knew I loved them, and we were getting married in October, so Opal it had to be! They decided on a sturdy bezel setting, crossed their fingers and hoped for the best. They nailed it, it was absolutely perfect.

We designed our wedding bands to match the band of my engagement ring, and they’re inscribed with ‘Thank you’ on the inside, which was the title of our wedding song, by Led Zeppelin.

It put up a good fight against daily wear for a DECADE, but I finally fractured it beyond repair. We have a 6 year old daughter now, who LOVES pink. When I contacted the original jeweler about re-doing my ring, he gently suggested a harder stone instead of replacing it with another Opal. I asked if there was an alternative October stone and he said ‘Pink Tourmaline’. It seemed fitting to include our kiddo in the redesign of the ring, and let her pick out the new stone as she has brought a lot of color into our lives, and this is a good reminder of that!

Life is long y’all, enjoy the ride, and don’t be afraid to wear your rings!

Help choose please!

Does this band match my engagement ring nicely, or should I look for something a little better?

u/HotEstate9423 — 5 days ago

Help!

Newly engaged with this three stone ring. It was my fiancés mom’s ring who passed away. We are trying to find a unique wedding band that looks cohesive with the ring but can also be worn on its own as I’m a nurse so I won’t be wearing the E-ring to work. We like this wedding band but don’t know if they really look good together. What do you think?
