AITAH for considering asking my bridesmaid to step down because our friendship has become emotionally exhausting?

One of my bridesmaids and I have had a rocky friendship since my engagement. When I got engaged, she became very upset that she wasn’t “involved,” even though she technically had been invited to be there—she just didn’t know ahead of time what was going to happen. Instead of it being a one-time hurt feeling, it turned into a lot of doubling down and long conversations about how excluded she felt, which really affected me and changed how I viewed the friendship.
We eventually made up, and I still asked her to be a bridesmaid because I wanted to move forward in good faith and genuinely thought things would get better.
Since then, though, things have continued to feel weird. There have been multiple emotionally intense conversations, comments about how she’s a “three-time bridesmaid,” repeated comments about her bridesmaid dress being darker than everyone else’s and possibly switching colors, and other moments where I feel like relatively small things become much bigger than they need to be.
She also got into it with another close friend of mine. To be fair, I do think my other friend was partly in the wrong, but my bridesmaid took the situation to a whole different level and started really chastising her, which created even more tension between people who are going to be around each other during my wedding events.
I finally told her that I’ve been feeling more guarded and that I need to know she can come to the bridal shower, bachelorette, and wedding with positive energy even though there are girls attending that she doesn’t like. I also told her that on my wedding day I cannot be managing tension between people or worrying about her emotions. I have a lot going on personally already, and these long, heavy conversations have become exhausting.
After our last text conversation, I still felt like she wasn’t really understanding what I meant, so I sent her a voice note explaining my concerns again because I wanted her to actually hear my tone and know that I wasn’t trying to be combative or attack her. She hasn’t really responded, and it’s now been two days. The only thing she has texted me is, “I need some time to respond to this.”
I understand that people are allowed to process, but part of the issue for me is that everything seems to become so heavy and dramatic. Even when I’m trying to calmly explain how I feel, it turns into days of processing, defensiveness, and emotional conversations, which honestly creates even more stress for me.
Her responses have included apologies, but whenever I explain what has hurt me, I feel like the apology is immediately followed by explanations about why she didn’t mean it that way, why I misunderstood the situation, or how terrible she feels about herself. I don’t feel like I’m getting a simple acknowledgment of the impact or confidence that the behavior will actually change.
I feel guilty because she already bought a bridesmaid dress, and I did choose her after our original engagement conflict because I truly wanted to rebuild the friendship. But now I’m worried that having her so involved in the wedding is going to make me anxious and unable to enjoy these once-in-a-lifetime events.
I would still absolutely want her at the wedding as a guest, and I’d offer to help reimburse her for the dress if she can’t return it. I just don’t know if keeping her in the bridal party is appropriate when our friendship currently feels this strained

Enclomiphene progress: 228 → 471 → 406, E2 improved, unsure whether to adjust dosing

I'm a 29M on enclomiphene 12.5 mg daily through Hims. I started because of low testosterone symptoms (fatigue, low motivation, difficulty losing fat, lower libido, etc.).

Baseline (2/14/26)

  • Total Testosterone: 228 ng/dL
  • Free Testosterone: 6.10 ng/dL
  • LH: 6.8
  • FSH: 3.8
  • Estradiol: <25
  • SHBG: 12.4 (low)

8 Weeks (4/21/26)

  • Total Testosterone: 471 ng/dL
  • Free Testosterone: 13.24 ng/dL
  • LH: 16.6 (high)
  • Estradiol: 46 (slightly high)
  • SHBG: 15.8 (still low)
  • Hematocrit: 45.6

Most Recent Labs (7/1/26)

  • Total Testosterone: 406 ng/dL
  • Estradiol: 39
  • Hematocrit: 45.3

Unfortunately, this latest panel didn't include LH, FSH, SHBG, or free testosterone, so I'm missing some important information.

Overall, the medication has helped. My energy, motivation, libido, confidence, and gym performance are all noticeably better than before I started. I'm not trying to say enclomiphene isn't working, it definitely has.

My concern is that my testosterone has dropped from 471 to 406 despite staying on the same dose. Earlier in treatment my LH was 16.6, which makes me wonder if I'm getting more pituitary stimulation than I actually need at this point. I'm considering asking about 12.5 mg every other day, but I don't want to make changes without understanding whether this is just normal fluctuation.

I also have a history of gynecomastia that developed naturally, was surgically removed, and later returned, so I'm more cautious about estrogen-related issues than the average person.

I've been trying to discuss all of this with my Hims provider, but honestly the care has been really disappointing. My questions have mostly been ignored or I've simply been told to retest without anyone actually discussing my labs or treatment options. Because of that, I'm considering switching providers.

My questions:

  1. Has anyone experienced a similar drop after an initial increase on enclomiphene?
  2. Would you ask for a full hormone panel (LH, FSH, free T, SHBG, sensitive estradiol, etc.) before changing the dose?
  3. Has anyone switched from 12.5 mg daily to every other day, and if so, how did your labs and symptoms change?
  4. If you've used a different telehealth clinic or hormone provider with good communication, who would you recommend? I'm open to switching if it means working with someone who actually reviews my labs and discusses my treatment plan.

I appreciate any experiences or advice. I'm trying to make an informed decision with my provider—not self-medicate or chase numbers unnecessarily. Thanks!

RANT: Insomniac literally ignoring everyones feedback is so frustrating.

Insomniac ignoring the overwhelming feedback about Apocalypse moving from November to summer is honestly getting ridiculous.

This was literally a change nobody asked for. I'd argue that more than half the comments on almost every Apocalypse post are people asking them to move it back to November, and they're just pretending those comments don't exist.

The production was still solid, but it was obvious that with Apocalypse happening right before Day Trip, that festival was the priority. The stages outside of the main stage felt like they were already being prepped for Day Trip, with noticeably less decoration and effort than previous years.

And while the vibes were still good, summer Apocalypse just isn't the same. Summer brings out a completely different crowd. A lot more people are there for the aesthetic and social media posts rather than the music and community that made Apocalypse feel special in the first place.

What's even more annoying is that every time someone brings this up in the comments, there's always a bunch of people saying, "Just don't go." That's such a lazy response. Many of us have attended this festival for four years straight and are giving constructive criticism because we care about it and want it to be better.

It's frustrating watching Insomniac ignore hundreds, if not thousands, of comments from loyal attendees because they they'll make a few extra dollars with a summer date. Forbidden Kingdom literally changed locations because of fan feedback, so I was hopeful Insomniac would actually listen. Clearly they don't give a fuck.

They took something that felt unique and special in November and turned it into just another summer festival. It's disappointing to see them ruin what made Apocalypse stand out while completely ignoring the people who helped build it into what it is today. Curious to know everyones thoughts on this.

RIP Bassgiving

Welp, another Apocalypse is in the books. Still had a great time, but you can’t deny the vibes are completely different now.

I had VIP, but even looking out at some of the main stages, the crowds looked ridiculous. The smaller stages still had great energy, but there were definitely more rude people shoving through crowds without even saying “excuse me” than I’ve ever seen at this festival.

Looks like Insomniac is keeping it in the summer, which is a huge bummer because there was something special about Apocalypse in the fall. I’m gonna miss the early sunsets, the extra production feel at night, and hotels not costing an arm and a leg.

I’ll be back next year, but I think I need to adjust my expectations because the summer crowd definitely brings a different vibe.

Need Additional Moderators, Anyone Interested?

This sub has grown a lot lately, and with that growth we've been getting flooded with posts about drugs, ticket scams, and self-promotion. It's getting to be a lot for one person to handle.

I'd love to bring on a few dedicated Apocalypse fans who can help keep the community clean, filter out the BS, and create more engagement and community-building posts.

If you're interested in helping out, send me a DM!

2,000 members later… should we finally do a meetup?

Hey everyone,

A few years ago I made this subreddit because I wanted a place for Apocalypse fans to connect. I honestly never expected it to grow to over 2,000 members or be as active as it is today.

With that in mind, I'm wondering if it's finally time for an official subreddit meetup at Apocalypse this year. Nothing crazy, just a chance to say hi, meet some fellow members, and maybe grab a group photo.

Would anyone be interested? Let me know! 🧟‍♂️
