“Dad! He stole my bed!”

I took my old boy Vizsla to work along with The Left Hand of Darkness. I guess this photo makes the hierarchy clear. They are best mates though- the Vizsla is the only dog The Left Hand gets along with.

Charlie loves his Miniso drumstick

This is Charlie and his best friend, “Chimkn”. He has destroyed all of his toys, but not the Miniso drumstick we bought him on a whim one day. Despite his love and care for this toy, it is still just a plushie in a boinke’s world, so the wear is getting to it.

This is our plea to source some more Chimkns for our boi. So if you have one you are willing to part ways with, please let us know.

Insect bite? something to worry about?

I discovered this red circle in my puppy’s armpit. The “lump” is not hard. I am pretty sure it is a mosquito bite? Has anyone encountered something like this on their dog?

5-mile hike with my 11yo

It's tough seeing her slow down. She was full of beans on the way up and mostly tailed me on the way down so we gently traversed the trail and took lots of breaks. I love that we can exercise together and have a girls' morning but we're getting to that age of adjusting our hikes so she's not put out.

I love her more than words can capture.

Experience with fluoxetine for separation anxiety?

Every dog is different, I know.

Short version: 3-year old rescue...ours for the last 16 months.

Perfect bathroom habits.

Perfect on leash.

Loves cats.

Loves other dogs.

Loves other people.

Only one issue:

Crippling separation anxiety that results in a variety of behaviors that are bad for people's stuff and potentially harmful to the agitated dog.

Through rigorous trial/error, by a carefully timed mix of exercise, gabapentin and trazedone...we can get him to crate calmly (sometimes very...others not as much) for up to 4 hours.

Our dude has 2 in-person vets (for reasons) and online one (plug for the drugs)...

Yesterday the vet who we Zoomed with offered fluoxetine with a goal of eventually reducing/eliminating the other meds.

Anybody have experience with doggy prozac?
