Just confused about what to watch next

Masters of the Universe is a surprisingly fun and self-aware adventure that embraces the campy spirit of the original cartoon. Blending Guardians of the Galaxy-style humor with solid action, strong performances, and impressive CGI, the film delivers laughs, heart, and nostalgia in equal measure. Director Travis Knight crafts an entertaining crowd-pleaser that leaves plenty of room for future adventures.

I’ve been wanting to fully dive into a show and the lore. I have a few ideas right now , so I wanted to hear thoughts. I also don’t know if these count as magical girls, but I wasn’t sure where else to post. Right now I am in between sailor moon, winx club, and ever after high. I know a little bit about each of them, but am not really sure which is recommended. Thanks!

I am also totally open to questions to help figure out what I would like, or completely different recommendations.

Edit: I only speak English and I would like something that is either originally in English or has a very accurate dub that is not confusing

Light Detective Series

Hi! I’m looking for a less serious detective/cop series. Not a comedy like Brooklyn 99 or Psych but more like The Rookie, Rizzoli & Isles, The Mentalist and Bones. I’ve watched them all at least twice and feel I need to move on at this stage! I also like sci-fi but not with space or robots (more on the science part) like X-Files, Orphan Black, Manifest, Sense8 etc. Bonus points if there’s a will they/wont they theme. I highly recommend all of these series especially Orphan Black. It’s a phenomenal show!😊. Thanks ❤️.

A 4chan image became a YouTube series that became an A24 feature film. Backrooms is bold, genuinely unsettling, and directed by someone who clearly has something to say. Kane Parsons is a name to remember.

Looking for my next comfort TV show.
Some of my favorite shows are:

Ted Lasso
The Office
Breaking Bad

The funny thing is I didn’t love any of them immediately. Ted Lasso took me 3 tries, The Office took even more, and Breaking Bad took several attempts before it finally clicked.

What I seem to enjoy:
strong character development
relationship building
found family / friendship dynamics
some romance
humor with heart
feeling attached to the characters

What I’m NOT looking for:
depressing
overly cynical
constant violence
pure sitcoms with no character growth

Based on my favorites, what would you recommend and why?

I'm moving in with my girlfriend and her kids soon. They're used to just watching stuff they can stream for free. It would be cool to introduce them to Disney Plus and Netflix. It was be especially cool if we had something that we could all enjoy watching together.

They all have an interest in adventure, nature, and ballroom dancing.

They all like the shows Heartland (especially her and her daughter), and Merlin (especially her son).

They all really like the original Indiana Jones trilogy (especially her). and the films Never Cry Wolf, Labyrinth, and The Princess Bride.

Both her son and her daughter (eleven-year-old twins, by the way) favorite show is Maya & Miguel. They also both really like Fury, and The Adventures of Champion.

They both really like the films Holes (especially the son), The Black Stallion, Duma, and Fly Away Home.

Her favorite show is Tracker. She also really likes Blue Bloods, and Boston Blue.

My favorite show is The Artful Dodger. I also really like Shadow and Bone, Locke & Key, Cobra Kai, and Outer Banks. I also really like The Karate Kid films, and the Star Wars films and shows.

Pretty much the title, I started this show because I adore the lead actress playing Dory. And man, the whole show...especially the last three seasons had me like, WHAT?! And then, WWHHAATT?! And, THAN...HOLY MOLY SAY WWWHHHAAATTT?!?!?!

So, I wanted to ask the community for other crazy random shows that take you for a ride!!

I will also add Cabinet of Curiosities from Guillermo del Toro, especially "The Autopsy".....man, the whole series is incredible and several episodes kept me guessing....yet, that one really had me shook!! Loved it!!!

Also, several Black Mirror Episodes, and a few Love Death and Robots.

Seriously, the suggestions you're all sending have been added my lists and thank you so much for sending! I just finished the last episode of Search Party yesterday and was like, any fan of this show....must love wild rides and unhinged story lines!! I'm so glad I posted!!

I recently watched Beef and enjoyed the romance thriller aspect of it. Sort of want some Jersey shore type trashy reality now! Love Island, Singles Inferno vibe let me know!! 😻😻😻
