What else should I watch, with my daughter and niece?

Once a day I watch an hour of tv daughter (15) and my niece (13). We’re running out of shows to watch. Currently we just have Netflix, and a few dvd’s. We’re thinking of switching to a different streaming service, but we’re not sure which one (leaning tower Amazon Prime Video, or Disney Plus).

We’ve watched …
Derry Girls (one of my and my daughters favorites, but my niece didn’t like and said it made her feel yucky)
Little House on the Prairie
Anne with an E (one of my nieces favorites)
XO Kitty
Never Have I Ever (one of my daughters favorites)
Locke & Key (one of my daughters favorites, but my niece didn’t like it and found it too scary)
Wednesday (but my niece didn’t like it and found it too scary)
The Good Place (my daughters favorite, but my niece didn’t care for it)
A Series of Unfortunate Events (but my niece hated it and said it made her feel yucky)
Mystic (my niece's favorite that she’s seen since she lived with us, but she says her favorite show she’s ever seen is The Ponysitters Club)
Victoria
Keeping Up Appearances (one of my favorites, but my niece didn’t like and said it made her feel yucky)
Fawlty Towers  (one of my favorites, but my niece didn’t like and said it made her feel yucky)

I fixed the "what should we watch" argument with my gf

my girlfriend and i could never agree on a movie without arguing about it. most nights we'd spend 20+ minutes picking, then settle on something neither of us actually wanted just because we were tired of going back and forth.

eventually i got curious if the problem was that we just didn't have overlapping taste, or if we were bad at finding it while negotiating in real time. so i built a small app where we each swipe on movies separately, no seeing each other's picks, and it shows us what we both said yes to. turns we don't have to break up 💀

it's called Mooveenite , free on ios and android.

would love to know if you have the same problem, if so how do you usually fix it. and if you try my app, if it actually helps you or any other feedback you have

Well! This was funn!!

Guys! I was totally worn out by midday in mid life crisis and this helped me cool off a bit! A thriller drama but in a way disney would make it for kids obviously im too old for this but it just worked well!!

If you have time give it a go, it’d be worth your while!

I’m looking for new TV shows/sitcoms (specifically more than 1 season)

I’ve completely run out of shows to watch and It’s driving me insane. It’s summer break, I live in a small town with not a whole lot to do ever, all of my friends successfully scored jobs while I am not able to work this summer. So on the days I’m not busy, at some point in the day I find myself bored out of my mind with nothing to watch on TV.

Now I obviously haven’t slumped and watched television my entire summer break, but I do binge TV on the days I nothing to do so I get through my shows quicker than I would like to.

Here is a list of some of my all time favourite’s to help you out :)

What I like about you (2002-2006)

One Tree Hill (2003-2012)

Malcolm In The Middle (2000)

Degrassi The Next Generation(only the first couple of seasons)

Full House (1995)

Friends (1994)

Two and A Half Men (2003)

Gilmore Girls (2000)

Shameless U.S (2011)

My Wife & Kids (2001)

Melissa and Joey (2010)

Blossom (1991)

Boy Meets World (1993)

Home Improvement (1991)

8 simple rules (2002)

Smart Guy (1997)

I think thats enough to get a good idea of what I’m into.

I’ve been thinking of watching Dawsons Creek, Threes A Company and the OC. Any good??

She/her

So far GREAT suggestions everyone, literally. You are my life savers. I have gotten so many great new recommendations I’ll be set for months. Thanks again, have a blessed day/night/morning !

This series was the best, they made s2 worse.

S1 and S1.5 are still the peak with solid steal by Kay Kay Menon!

I could watch it with my family was a very big + point.

movies and series by neeraj pandey are absolute masterpiece!

Docuseries/Documentaries??

I love these and need some suggestions so I’m not wasting hours scrolling looking for something.

Recent ones I’ve watched: Maternal Instinct, The Dark Wizard, SkyKing (not finished yet).

Past ones I’ve enjoyed: Don’t F with Cats, Abducted in Plain Sight, The Vanishing at The Cecil Hotel. Untold series, Don’t Date Brandon.

I’m definitely missing some. Please add your faves!!

Getting surgery this Friday- need something to binge during recovery.

I am getting my wisdom teeth pulled on Friday so I would like a good show to sink my teeth into as I recover over the weekend. I’ve enjoyed watching horror shows like From, The Walking Dead, Evil, etc in the past but I’m cool with most genres including animated stuff.

Predestination and Shutter Island still live in my head, what else should I watch?

Watched these two a while back and they’ve stuck with me ever since. Something about not knowing what’s real until the last 10 minutes just hits different. Anyone got similar recs? Not really looking for jump scares or gore, more into the “wait… what” kind of twist that makes you want to rewatch immediately.

Want me to tweak anything else?
