Finnished product, as promised
Thanks for all the great input on this project! Just wrapped up today I ended up using six coats of spar urethane cut and polished with automotive compound. My customer is thrilled and already wants another.

I really need new tips. All of mine are burnt out.
Work in progress, just need advice over the shading I did. Is there a better way than just adjusting the temp?
First time woodburning, not sure what my work is worth..
I admit that I vastly underestimated the skill and patience involved in woodburning. This project has been so many hours I’ve lost count. I went into it very nervous to start because this was a commission for a co worker and again I’ve never tried woodburning until this. Is $300 too high to charge? It’s not completely finished or clear coated fyi.
Small sign for the restaurant im working at.
What finishes do you use for pyrography (wood burning) pieces? Also, app recommendations for converting images to B&W vector patterns?
Hey everyone,
I've started doing this a year ago, and I was wondering what you would recommend for the best finishes? I've used only thinner-based varnish so far, and it kind of looks ok but I don't know if it's the best looking.
Also, what app do you think is the best at transforming a regular image to a clean black and white vector suitable for handmade pyrography?
I've attached a couple of my works so far. (I have a Cara profile with my portfolio, but I saw a rule to not post social media profiles so I'm not)
Thanks everyone!
This is gonna be fun
Kinda hard to see but all original. Hope I don’t screw it up lol
