Classic Plus has anyone ever talked about negative rested exp?

Maybe this Idea has been talked about, but I havent heard it. Its probably pretty controversial, but hear me out. Have a negative rested exp. That essentially punishes people who are on welfare or streamers who can play 10 hours every day. Because as someone who can maybe play 10 hours a week I feel like I cant really be involved with some of the end game content because the no life's do it in 1 month. I understand making the leveling faster like retail is a terrible idea. But for the dads who can play 1 hour a day they have the same experience. And the people who can play 10 hours a day are almost forced to log off or find another way to level. Just an Idea.

Warlock related questions

My friend is new to World of Warcraft. I play a Warrior in Classic TBC we are about level 16 i have noticed his DPS is incredibly low. Is this normal? Or is he playing his class wrong?

We played RFC and my DPS was in the 800 and his was around 300.

Ganking PvP?

I’m a dad returning to wow classic era for the nostalgia.

Why do high levels do this? I understand pvp servers come with some of this, but I always figure it’s more equal levels?

I died constantly in Lakeshire, got killed on the boat in Menethil, and now trying to quest in STV, and it kills the vibe. It makes me want to give up trying to get back into the game. Should I just accept this as a part of the game?

20 years of WoW — what memories have stayed with us? Why we still can't let go?

Hey everyone,

I recently joined my friend ReadyMix Gaming for a slightly different kind of WoW video.

Rather than talking about the current meta, tier lists or Mythic+, we sat down and talked about what 20+ years of World of Warcraft has actually meant to us.

We talked about the early days of WoW, the people we met, guild friendships, quitting and coming back, how much the game has changed, and whether modern WoW can ever recreate that feeling of discovering Azeroth for the first time.

One thing that really stuck with me from the conversation was that sometimes when we say we miss "old WoW", we might actually miss who we were when we first experienced it.

If that sounds interesting, you can watch the conversation here:

https://youtu.be/ivFgFoa0jCE?is=U7LM7kriUZfl1H7R

But I'm also genuinely interested — what's the one WoW memory that has stayed with you the longest?

New Guild Finder Addon

Hey! Guild recruitment is tough in game as it consists of spamming endlessly in general chat where it goes ignored or unseen. To combat this issue I created the Guild Finder Board. It isn't crawling through an existing channel like general looking for posts. You create posts in the addon then others with the addon can see so it works best the more people use it.

https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/guildfinderboard

Post your guild's recruiting needs, or post that you're looking for a guild — and see a ranked, match-scored board instead of spamming Trade chat.

Two boards, one window (/gfb, minimap icon, or the in-game Settings button):

Looking for Guild — every guild recruiting listing on your realm, ranked by how well it matches your own criteria

Guild Recruiting — every "looking for guild" player listing, ranked by how well it matches your guild's needs

Smart matching — a Warcraft-Logs-style parse badge (gold/pink/orange/purple/blue/green/gray) shows your match % on every row, weighted so class/spec fit dominates the score

What you can post:

Class(es)/spec(s) — shown as real talent-tree icons, not walls of text Guild type: PvP, Casual Raiding, Parse/Speed Kill, Speed Run, or Social Raid schedule / availability, in 30-minute increments, server time Loot system (Loot Council, ThatsMyBis, Soft Reserve, DKP, Other) Optional Discord invite, guild application link, and Warcraft Logs link — one click to copy

What World of Warcraft memory / feeling do you still think about years later?

Not necessarily your biggest achievement or rarest item. It could be a person you met, a crazy story that someone who doesn't play would'nt get, an old routine, something ridiculous that happened, or just a particular place and feeling you still remember.

What happened, and why has it stayed with you?

WoW Classic, but bare!

So I just installed WoW to play Hardcore/Anniversary.
Now I would really like to try this without addons. Yes that means no Questie, no OmniCC, no Bagnon and especially NO ConsolePort.
I know this sounds insane. But I was wondering if anyone in this great threat would have any suggestions for a controller layout to set up. There is like 1 or 2 community made templates but they appear half done. I figured I’d give it a shot myself but I could use some suggestions. (I come from GW2 &GWR) on the Deck if that helps give you an idea what I’m aiming towards.

Thanks in advance to you all!!
Hope to see you online!!

(PS! I’m also looking for people to play with, I’m super casual however so I only get a few nights in a week!)

1st time playing Priest and am running out of mana

I came back to WOW classic after 10 years and I’m first time playing priest. Im level 12 and keep running out mana. Constantly needing refreshing water.

I put 2 points in spirit tap and 2 in wand.
My current circuit is: smite, shadow word: pain, power word: shield, more smite or weapon.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you in advance 🙏🏾🙏🏾

EDIT: thank you so for such detailed answers!! I did not fully understand the 5 sec rule pairing it with wand-ing to death.

NE BM-Hunter - Am I missing out by not going Orc?

I had an Orc Hunter back in Vanilla and went Marksmanship, but that was before they redid the Beast Mastery tree.

I’m now looking to replay as a Hunter. I should pick orc again for the 5% damage, but as I have started an alliance priest for PvE, it would be much easier to share gold if they were both the same faction.

I’m tempted by NE as I always wanted the tiger mount, but I’m not sure I’d get that far tbh. Going BM spec, Orcs get the most use out of it. Is it that noticeable? Or should I just forget about it?

What should my alt be? (WSMYAB?)

I have a Warrior, Shammy, Hunter, Pally at level 70, raid ready, and a lvl 60 rogue and I'm wondering what I should do with my 58 boost.

I'm trying to make leveling and gearing as painless as possible, any direction? I've thought about Mage and Warlock but have a 1 button rotation sounds painful. With that in mind, I'm thinking druid or priest.

Wow classic era

What’s the current state of the game? I would like to return to WoW but don’t dig retail much anymore. Is era pretty much dead? What other versions are worth playing if I started fresh today? Thanks for all input!

leveling my first shaman on Vanilla

Hey all, tbh I’m having a lot of fun with shaman. I used to play priest and warlock (both mained at 60 on Ally), and now I’m leveling a shaman, but damn, it’s a whole different mechanic. (I really enjoy it)

Do you have any genuine recommendations for fun specs while leveling?

Everything I find online is super “optimized”, with rotation cycles and all that. But I feel like shaman can be played in more fun ways, with several different approaches to leveling.

Thanks and have good game all!

Warr 57

I was thinking about just slowly mob grinding the last couple of levels over several days with rested xp and world buffs.

Any ideas where to get good xp and some gold while I’m at it?

Appreciate the tips :)

Family plan for classic

Hello all, I have a wife and two sons, 6 and 9 almost ten.

I played wow. We played wow with my wife also, classic, very good experience.

The little boy knows about wow, but not really. But.. the other day I discovered something that could be good. I tell them; what if we get 4 wow accounts and use the pc’s around the house, and we play all together wow!.

Haha, that’s what I wanted to share. That’s what I want to do.. probably someday.

Wait, does this game seriously expect me to just go wander around Stormwind for a while?
